Jenny i think i will keep an eye out for minky topped then, i wash nappies every day so bunging a pad into the wash won't be hard

drlove8 · 18/08/2009 13:47

@ all you who can use bold..... for some reason im very alergic to the stuff and cant touch it.... so i couldnt risk using it just for nappies , id end up with a horrible rash just touching bold.... i dont know if dd4 would be ok with it either, ???
any other good wash stuff instead?
not sure about san pro - think i'll pass on that one thanx , but if you like it ...(does it count as fluffy post?, not nappies or nappy stuff?)

treedelivery · 18/08/2009 15:02

Think'll try san pro as am allergic to Always and the other good ones, with the gel like dispos. Make me red and itchy

I'm a mooncupper but since had mirena fitted no periods at all - for another 3 years Yeah! (tmi there lol)

I have only used the FB BTP on the bigger size - happy to lend it to anyone who would like to try it - would need to rummage around and find it though!

Didn't go to Bath in end - went to Cabot Circus in Bristol - had lovely lunch in la tasca and went to the new primark shore - got coat for £17, jeans for £7 and a top for £7 - bargain!! Also cool sequin leggings from H&M for £12.99. ((is it okay to chat about non-nappy purchases??!!)) I live just outside Bath so go in alot, but centre of Bristol is a rarity!

Will check to see if medium owls on next order - I'm sure it is - will let you know.

Children all home now ...!

Octothechildherder · 18/08/2009 16:00

Oh and will be stocking the small itti inserts soon - pre-orders being taken - will confirm price soon.

treedelivery · 18/08/2009 16:01

at Primark.

treedelivery · 18/08/2009 16:03

Heee Heee.

I realy like this little guy --->

He really does look like he's pickled with envy doesn't he? Makes me smile.

BaronConker · 18/08/2009 16:06

tree - they don't come with an insert even as new. I have tons of microfibre inserts that I bought preloved and I also use my prefolds.

drlove8 - I use Daz. Classy. Isn't Bold 2 in 1 because the 2 is fabric conditioner? And isn't that A BAD THING for nappies? I am confused. Daz in boxes is dirt cheap, and the mandarin-and-something-or-other-citrussy smells yummy.

4 - I feel like I'm being sponsored by Minki today, but I'm not, honestly - but their sanpro is great, it's my favourite, although I do like mother eden which I think is the same people as make Fuzzis...

treedelivery · 18/08/2009 16:14

Baron - extensive reseach by Jenny [she is also backed by many on CNT and others] is that Bold powder is ok as it is clay based rather than oil based softner. It therefore does not affect the absorbancy. Hopefully!

I don't have a heavy wetter [touches wood] so tbh I don't think I would notice a slow reduction in absorbancy, but I certainly haven't noticed anything as yet. Except a much nicer smell

I don't know if gel etc is ok, and am too tight to buy them anywya

Octo - have you new prints coming as wel as the ones on line? Or did I dream that? Yeah, like I need more choice Am excited about ordering.

I put a faaar too poo ridden nappy in the wash. Poo Bits off part digested rice cake all over the nappies If only I could predict the poo, I could pute her in paper liners on that day. They arive by stealth at the moo though, and by the pint. Nice!

4andnotout · 18/08/2009 18:02

I use Bold 2in1 in powder, liquid gel or tablet form and never had any problems

JennyPenny22 · 18/08/2009 20:02

Tree - I have the same problem with poo with Elouise. She should be well past the soggy poo stage but she just eats so much fruit and drinks lots of milk. We are trying to change he diet but its really hard. Although the last few days she has had solid poo!

drlove8 · 18/08/2009 21:20

id love a nappy sprayer , that would solve all the poo on nappy problems.... just a quick squirt and there you are ! ,( sorry , that sounds like it should be on a TTC thread ! lol )

twoclimbingboys · 18/08/2009 21:52

Hello All!

I am struggling to catch up with the chat, will probably have to read it all on Thursday when off work and not totally frazzled.

Jenny - the mutts have arrived. They are extremely trim but seem like a good few layers. I love them but really don't know if I will manage to get the large babyshape on him - but will give it a good go on Thursday. I got 2 BV inner ones and they are lovely.

TheNatty · 18/08/2009 21:52

hey guys!
i had charlie in disposables yesterday as we were at the beach all day

2 poo explosions went everywhere

never again

twoclimbingboys · 18/08/2009 21:55

jenny - just started to read the chat. All the UD soy fitteds I have are fleece lined. I also have a minkee lined pocket from UD - I am sure the would out minkee on the inner rather than fleece if you wanted. Minkee is more stain resistant and doesn't bobble imo so that would probably be good.

treedelivery · 18/08/2009 22:37

Who or what is a mutt and why don't I have one?

JennyPenny22 · 18/08/2009 22:43

Tree - a mutt is a "muttaquin" they were on offer a few weeks ago 3 for 2. I am sure me and 2cb spoke about it on here when we were ordering. We both ordered 3!

treedelivery · 18/08/2009 22:47

Oooh I missed that. Off to Google!

treedelivery · 18/08/2009 22:53

So haven't found that but have found Dunk'n'fluff which has bamboo velour or velour lining! HAve you heard of those? A fitted?

treedelivery · 18/08/2009 22:55

Oooooh pretty fabrics! Do they take ages to dry?

JennyPenny22 · 18/08/2009 22:56

I have heard of them tree but never tried one!

4andnotout · 18/08/2009 22:58

Yay! Have ordered another xl monkey foot bag, so that when one is in wash/drying the other can be used and i should hopefully be able to do away with buckets.

treedelivery · 18/08/2009 23:02

this is a happy place for the 2 parters here, and there are AIO and pockets I've never heard of Hink I've heard of Itti though......

Although you probably all know about it and I am trying to teach all you grannies how to suck eggs I have never heard of Made in la p'tite or bububebe.

I'll need to have 5 more kids to get fully in the nappy know!

treedelivery · 18/08/2009 23:05

Oooh 4. I am going to order a med and a large as my early birthday pressi from mum! What pattern did you get?

I'm stalling as am worried Octo will get a load of new patterns in, and I want to really make this hard for my self with the maximum choice, you know?

JennyPenny22 · 18/08/2009 23:17

I have just ordered 2 coolababy pockets to try. Don't get on with pockets in general but I would like to try them for reference more than anything and at £5.50 brand new with insert I can't complain!
