Scotia - posted out this morning so should be with you soon. The magic-alls are lovely, if I do say so myself.

treedelivery · 27/07/2009 18:56

Hi all.

Was sorry to miss one Afterglow - have had lusty thoughts about them as I need a fancy dress costume and Hatts could be a bee, instead of the usual ballerina
They really aught to do a yellow and black, that would be very cool.

TheNatty - be sure sell a child not in nappies. Easy mistake to make

treedelivery · 27/07/2009 18:58

Ah yes, Thomas. I missed that. I'll swap you for a weenotions, I'd like a boy

Hi ya stringerbell! Welcome to our thread! .

Still haven't tried any silk liners. Although I have some minki ones on the way to try. Have sooo many fleece liners though!

Does anybody have any fleece topped boosters that they want to sell me? Need to be hemp or bamboo? We are boosting everything at the moment but at least if they are fleece topped thats one less layer.

TCB - the new inserts for the UD. The booster is the same but instead of the trifold, you get 2 inserts that look similar to the booster. They all poper together so you can take them apart for quick drying. Aparently they work better. WIll let you know when I have tried it (Dying it first)

I did a hot pink dye yesterday. Did 2 UDNN which now look MUCH better, WNNN, along with some MEOS, Tots, muslins (kept getting confused with whats been used for what so going to have multicoloured ones!), a bedsheet for Elouise, and a few inserts etc. So I have a pink washing airer! DOing another one now - just decing what colour next! Wanted to do Yellow tonight but the WNNN that Elouise is in tonight was one of the ones I wanted to turn yellow! Stupid really as she could have gone in one of the ones I didn't need to dye! Oh well.

The soy dyed lovely though. Much nicer than the natural colour, my older ones had gone a bit of a rank shade really!

rusmum · 27/07/2009 21:20

HI i wanted to dew own too but didnt know ehere to start??????

JennyPenny22 · 27/07/2009 21:51

Anybody want a large girly Lucys hope chest fitted for £7.50 posted before I list it in the classifieds? Only thing wrong with it is that the snap in soaker bit is a different shade of purple! You can't see that when its on obviously. Just don't love it for some reason. Even though it is pretty! It is poppers.

Natty - if you are looking at size 2 bamboo fitteds for night time, I can recommend some size 2 clwt twt. I am not parting with mine though I am afraid! Talia uses them for night times and they are as good as the other "proper" night nappies we use. And when they stop lasting at night, they will be a good day nappy. In fact, they still JUST fit ELouise in the daytime, but her size 3s are a better fit.

Regarding Night nappies though, the medium WNNN and med UDNN are still very big on her, although she can get away with it just about (would leak poo though I would think as baggy on legs). She has a small UDNN that still fits but will be up for sale in a few weeks as it wont fit much longer. It is bamboo though (I think) with a soy booster. Prefer my Soy ones (I am pretty sure it was sold to me as soy - but it definatly isn't!!!).

twoclimbingboys · 27/07/2009 22:04

Hello stringerbell!

jenny - I am after a lhc but boyish/unisex - I wouldn't want to nark DH by getting a girly one! Are they bamboo?

treedelivery · 27/07/2009 22:55

Ooo Jenny! I haven't got a Lucy's hope anything! What's it like?

Hello Stringerbell. I've heard of that wooly trick before actually, it's very cunning!

JennyPenny22 · 27/07/2009 22:56

I don't actually know what it is . I do also have a boy one that will be up for sale soon (which is turned and top stitched - the girly one is serged so make sure if you do buy one you get the one you want as they are very different) . But I have lost one of the pop in boosters so will carry on using it till I find it. This one fits Elouise better than the girly one but it just seems to boyish to me. It has dinosaurs on it. I am pretty sure it is bamboo. Possibly velour type inner but as EVERYTHING other than soy and fleece turns rock solid in this house it is hard to tell. (Would soften before selling though!).

I have been waiting for a girly soy fitted to come up on bibs and bobs but I am thinking about just getting plain from UD as I am getting impatient! Keep checking the site but they are always out of stock. I did ask them if they are gettig more in and they said they have some being made (Which is what I Think was what UD were referring to on my thread on CNT that time!). I would think they would be getting boys one too if you want me to keep an eye out for you? The ones that are out of stock on their site look nicer than the plain ones.

I have a machine full of BLUE nappies today! Not my choice of colour really but I got the blue dye cheap in tesco a while ago and had an UD with blue poppers and a WNNN that had blue fleece inner and blue poppers. And stuck some muslin, tots, MEOS in there too of course! Want to keep some nappies nutural as my sis is pregnant and I am hoping to lend her some cloth to try and we don't know the sex yet. Not due till feb but going to hold back some size 1s of each type. And the rest of my XS sandys - oh I should have dyed some more of those!!! ARGH! Too late for the blue now!! Thats annoying! I remember now! And the smalls too. They are quite well used so would benefit from some dye! It was only blue and yellow that were unisex though! The rest are girly colours!

JennyPenny22 · 27/07/2009 23:00

Tree - x post. Will see if I can post a link to the pictures!

treedelivery · 27/07/2009 23:02

Had a bit of a blow out on food today Rather be buying nappies, but was at my fav organic farm shop and got carried away.
Mind you, chickpea tagine with polenta crust for dinner tonight. Yum!

JennyPenny22 · 27/07/2009 23:04

lucys hope chest done up

LHC inner

LHC outter open

treedelivery · 27/07/2009 23:11

Ha! I might have to have that as the fairy/princess on it looks like my girls. Same hair

I'm crawling to bed Jenny, but I'd be interested. Just wondering how you think it does in the hard water? I'll be back tomorrow, but obviously if you get the chance sell it in the meantime.

Good luck with all the dying! Trying to do some pants of mine, white to blue but never remember to buy salt.

twoclimbingboys · 27/07/2009 23:29

jenny - ooh me pleeease for the t&t boyish LHC when you find the inners or are ready to sell!

the dying sounds fab - as does your blow out on food tree. yummy.

JennyPenny22 · 28/07/2009 01:18

The blue nappies have come out VERY dark! AM just doing the wash after the dye but it is looking darker than I had hoped. Bummer. Thats my new UDNN in there too! Oh well. Won't show stains I guess! LOL.

Regarding salt, I bought some today and got the value ones which was about 25p for a KG bag! Dunno why I didn't see them last time as I was buying the plastic pots of 750g which were quite a bit more. Don't need the pots for just chucking it in the machine!

Natty has pursuaded me to try tie dying! I think. Going to look it up now. I am meant to be in bed. Or doing housework! LOL.

I am suddenly feeling a bit funny and I hope this isn't the start of swine flu. I am amazed I hadn't come down with it as my immune system is awful and I have been giving Elouise loads of cuddles as thats all she has wanted to do really.

JennyPenny22 · 28/07/2009 13:13

ARGH still stuck on the stupid WN competition!

I am looking for some more WN Wipes if anybody sees any for sale. Will buy new if I can't find preloved but thought I would try preloved first.

Natty (Or anybody still dealing with yellow runny poo!) Do you find the poo stains just about everything? Everytime she poos I am thinking " ohh no! I wanted to sell that!" LOL.

Talia wore her small UDNN last night and it is very nearly too small. Won't have long left at all!! Still can sell it on as long as the poo that she did this morning comes out! Should be able to get enough from it to get another medium or large.

JennyPenny22 · 28/07/2009 15:31

Where is everybody today?

YAY I FIANALLY found the WN monster for the competition!

I was going to finially order my UD fitteds but the site is down! Something always gets in the way!

JennyPenny22 · 28/07/2009 17:13

Has anybody tried fleece longies? I might get some when it starts to get colder (custom made) as the girls just have such short legs (yet skinny) that it is impossible to get trousers to fit. At the moment, Elouise lives in dresses but I know that isn't practical in the winter. But I don't like her wearing wool longies out in the day as they just get grubby and its too much effort to keep handwashing that often. I might even get one pair for her now for times when trousers are more practical - soft play etc.

twoclimbingboys · 28/07/2009 20:07

Hello jenny! I hope Eloise is starting to feel better now. Wool of a day does seem like a lot of effort to handwash. Fleece longies sounds like a really good idea - where are you thinking of ordering them from?

TheNatty · 28/07/2009 20:17

nappy sanitiser for the stains jenny, i make it up as a thick paste and put it onto anything that doesnt wash out.

works well with most things, tho you have to run an extra (on top of the extra rinse i do anyway) rinse to make sure u have it all out.

Ellen is out weeing all her cloth nappies, any idea guys? we have tried pockets with every different type and amount of stuffing, as many as 4 EP hemp and a bamboo in one pocket. that lasted about an hour.

i might have to just grit my teeth and try and get her back into pants. its only been 4 weeks tho and she has regressed in the last few weeks since charlie was born. i dont want to push it
