I had no fluffy post today . Think Nattys WNNN and another clwt twt (lovely pattern!) is the only thing likly to arrive tomorrow or thursday. I am hopefully doing a swap for 2 scooby doo clwt twt but have got to take pics tomorrow of the stuff I have first.

And am in the process of buying Talia another WNNN.

Might also have done a swap for some WN wraps for Elouise too.

Octo - I am very Jelous of your UD purchase! Did you get it direct from them?

thebluefoxategreensocks · 23/06/2009 22:41

I love natural fibre (esp bamboo) nappies with wool shorties on top for warm weather! We had fab weather here today. Husband had dentist appointment (on west cost of Scotland - rural place!) and lovely beach there. So we had a very nice afternoon in the warm and sunny weather at the beach - children loved to play in the water and sand. Don't get many days like this in Scotland!

tree Clement was in hospital for a urine infection - at only 9 weeks old! He had an unexplained temp (got up to 40C at times) and we thought it must have just been a virus, as did GP here. But only when we got to hospital did they think of a urine infection...and so it was. He's much better now, but have to get further tests done to make sure nothing is abnormal inside. And on low dose antibiotics for at least 4 months(!) until we see consultant again, after tests are completed.

ladies some help needed! I am in need of some eco bumbles, a bambino mio swim nappy in pink spots and some cute pink wraps- is there anywhere i can buy all three (at a reasonable price!) or as i fear will i have to get them all separatley??

I'm a bit out of touch with the nappy sites and my google-ing skills are pretty basic

Octothechildherder · 24/06/2009 09:49

I only have pink brightbots swim nappies, no eco bumbles and only lilac spots tots wraps so not very helpful . You could try HoneyBees nursery store - she does nature babies wraps and may have some swim nappies in.

Still not washed my upsy daisy nappy ! DS3 is still wearing fuzzis at night with 3 inserts which gets him through. Seems a shame to put the UD under a cover!

Good morning, had my baby 3weeks 1day early on friday afternoon. He's called Connor Ellis & is only 6lb. None of my nappies fit him yet(fluffles sz1 huge on him!) Except the ivory small itti bitti.
So have 5 more on the way mint, jade, blue, turquoise & lime.Do u think this will b enough if i have 5 fluffles as night nappies & was washing daily.Does it really work just changing the inserts?I might order a couple of spares.Have never had newborn in cloth b4, just a toddler. So any advice appreciated. Can't wait to finish pampers pack & get started.

Octothechildherder · 24/06/2009 11:11

CONGRATULATIONS!!!

The problem with the inserts on newborns is that when they do explosive poo it fills the cover aswell anyway! I would try and get away with the ones you've got. You could use some muslins in small covers as a stop gap - much cheaper and quicker to dry.

JennyPenny22 · 24/06/2009 12:07

abermum - you will probably end up needing to get them seperatly as they are so specific. You might be able to get the eco bumbles and pink wraps together, but I haven't seen any bambino mio stuff anywhere other than their site.

JennyPenny22 · 24/06/2009 12:14

mumface - CONGRATULATIONS!! Must have been a shock having him early! If you wanted to get into cloth straight away, I have some XS sandys for sale on the for sale board which would fit? You could sell them on after for the same price I would think? Sorry, trying not to be checky here but thought I would ask, just in case!

mumface · 24/06/2009 13:47

Thanks for the offer Jenny but I don't like sandys tried one on Lewis(2 yrs).I have some bright bots terries but have been using them as hand towels! Maybe I can wash them without conditioner a few times, they will be absorbent again!

Octothechildherder · 24/06/2009 14:00

ooh yes yummy terries and nippas are lovely on a newborn.

JennyPenny22 · 24/06/2009 15:46

I don't like sandys on Elouise (18 months) but loved them on Talia when she was tiny. Not saying that to try and sell them, just saying in general! LOL.

Rachel - do you know if your friend was interested in the nappies at all?

I got a size 2 clwt twt today and it is gorgeous - but made me think twice about the sizing of mine! I think mine are size 3!

JennyPenny22 · 24/06/2009 15:53

the clwt twt I got today

ceb80 · 24/06/2009 20:00

Tree twas me who wanted Nature Babies wraps but you didn't link to the site
can you remember which one it was?

rusmum · 24/06/2009 21:51

abermum i have 5 eco bumbles as new!!! open to offers on them

abermum · 24/06/2009 22:41

ooh rusmum- yes please! how much? i have just been trying to pay easy peasy and they seem to be having issues with not accepting dh's solo card was going to ring them in the morning- but hey maybe i won't need to! would you be ok with bank transfer- i refuse to use paypal after they kidnapped some of my ebay payments

treedelivery · 24/06/2009 23:14

ceb - here

Am a dolt Hope the sizes are in stock, I think there isn't much left now as the business is closing as she is moving to the U.S.

Congratulations mumface- we haven't met so nice to 'see' you. I have often just changed the inners on itti's, though if you are bf the poo can be pretty constant can't it? Idea of a brand new baby ina tiny cream itti makes me feel all warm!

Still no itti strawberry fields

treedelivery · 24/06/2009 23:16

I used muslins in some tiny tiny junior joy wraps and in bmbino mio [I think] wraps. They worked a treat till the meconium cleared out and the wee's developed into bigger deals.

thebluefoxategreensocks · 25/06/2009 00:00

jenny: I emailed my friend about the nappies but haven't heard back from her. Sorry about that! I think she's busy with a few things at the moment though. But I did link her to your ad here and on CNT, so if she wants them, I'm sure she'll get in touch.

JennyPenny22 · 25/06/2009 00:38

Ok great, thanks for that.

I Have boxes and boxes of nappies and wraps that need selling. But nothing seems to be going at the moment! I am thinking about taking some of the tots bots, sandys etc to the car boot. I could possibly sell them - but then I wouldn't get the paypal funds to spend on more nappies! LOL.

JennyPenny22 · 25/06/2009 01:15

I have just listed some woolies for sale here Lovely stuff that just doesn't fit any more

BaronConker · 25/06/2009 07:56

mumface - totally agree with jennypenny that sandy's are much nicer on newborns than on toddlers. I had some natural colour x-small ones that I used on DS2 and DS3 when they were newborn and I LOVED them - couldn't wait for DS3 to be born so I could use them again! Never got on v well with pockets or snap-in nappies with teenies, poo too explosive, two-parters with elastic round the nappy leg (tots bots, sandy's etc) much better...

rusmum · 25/06/2009 08:34

whatever you think as i dont really know how much these go for- they are in EEUC- only used couple times each. X

4andnotout · 25/06/2009 08:43

Morning all

My itti didn't come after all, in fact i had no fluffy post yesterday

I had a really stained itti insert yesterday so i thought i'd put it on the line anyway rather than re wash with stain remover, but when i got it in the sun had completely bleached it out, it's amazing really that good old fashion sunshine can do more than a stain remover!

I have had a good few days selling, have only got 1 blueberry wrap left,2 small airflows and 2 bumhuggers but i might as well keep the bhuggers until i find some more bbh's to replace them.
