  1. Public paddling pool
  2. Outdoor swimming pool
  3. Whilst using the play equipment at the park

none. they would have pants/trunks/swimming cossie on or something on their bottom halves.

KingCanuteIAm · 01/06/2009 12:59

What age children?

Actually, regardless of age, none of them.

I would possibly let an under 3yo run naked in my own garden but it is unlikely, mostly becasue, if it is hot enough to be naked it is hot enough to burn!

ninedragons · 01/06/2009 13:00

none

KirstyJC · 01/06/2009 13:00

None of the above! Mainly because I can't be bothered to apply suncream to all the nooks and crannies .

I would only let them run around in the garden and their paddling pool naked. Anywhere else, a nappy at least.

Tortington · 01/06/2009 13:00

mine sre 16 & 19 - so i would say none or they would be arrested.

toddlers then? may be a pool

Itsjustafleshwound · 01/06/2009 13:01

I prefer them to have something on ....

I suppose if they were running around naked in our garden I wouldn't mind too much, but wouldn't really let them run around naked anywhere in public ...

ThePellyandMe · 01/06/2009 13:04

None of the above.

They go naked in our garden if they want to but thats it.

Every children's paddling pool we have been to in the last couple of years has had signs up saying 'No Naked Bathing'.

Greensleeves · 01/06/2009 13:06

I've never understood this

Fuss about nothing - they're just children, if they're not self-conscious about nudity, long may it last!

holdingittogether · 01/06/2009 13:07

I am presuming you are talking about toddlers. I would say nowhere in public and not even in my garden as it is quite over looked. So I guess that means not at all then which is quite sad really because if you can't run around naked as a toddler then when can you.

Mine can go naked in the garden and have done on the beach. I would not have a problem with a little one going naked into a paddling pool but we are pretty relaxed about nudity at home - although DS1 now tends to run from the room shrieking 'my eyes, my eyes' if he walks into my room and i am naked.
We are just back from Spain and loads of the little ones were naked. I didn't really think about it. I think it is fine

traceybath · 01/06/2009 13:13

Only my garden as very private.

beanieb · 01/06/2009 13:14

would depend on the age

  1. Public paddling pool - maybe if under 4-5
  2. Outdoor swimming pool - maybe if under 4-5
  3. Whilst using the play equipment at the park - not - dangerous IMO
  4. Beer garden - No
  5. Your street - Maybe depending on age

Greensleeves would you let yours in all those places then?

OP posts:
FabulousBakerGirl · 01/06/2009 13:18

None.

Just pants would be the minimum/swim waer.

My kids are 3, 5 and 8.

Rosa · 01/06/2009 13:19

dd was in a friends paddling pool last week naked she is 3 . Anywhere where it is private / amongst friends up to an age where they ( and we feel comfortable)

ginnny · 01/06/2009 13:20

The only place mine run around naked is in my house at bath/bedtime.
They've never wanted to run about naked in public, but I don't think I'd like it.
Not sure why though tbh, just wouldn't.

Overmydeadbody · 01/06/2009 13:23
  1. Public paddling pool - yes
  2. Outdoor swimming pool 1 yes as long as they where toilet trained
  3. Whilst using the play equipment at the park - no! Other children have to playon and touch the equipment, I wouldn't want some pooey toddler straddling a bit of climbing frame that another child would later tovh, yuk
  4. Beer garden -- no. Time and place for nakedness, and beer garden isn't it
  5. Your street - no
seeker · 01/06/2009 13:25

Under school age mine were often naked in the garden, on the beach,in the paddling pool and out on my street. Not on play equipment because of the risk of friction burns to bottoms, and other delicate injuries. And not in a beer garden because it might bother other people.

OrmIrian · 01/06/2009 13:25

Naked?. None of those excpet maybe outdoor pool if it was in someone's garden.

Beach maybe, garden, house.

Not that my three would do it now. Too old not be self-conscious now.

starshaker · 01/06/2009 13:25

was at a birthday party yesterday at a friends house. the kids were all out the back having water fights in the paddling pool and a water slide. my dd striped came in asked for suncream and off she went. she stayed naked all day and loved it. shes 4. wouldnt let her do it in public though

pagwatch · 01/06/2009 13:26

Greenie. I agree with you. My DS2 is nearly thirteen and still regularly wanders around naked ( including in the garden on the trampoline). He has SN and his lack of embaressment about his body always seems very much to me a symptom of his innocence.
When my other two began to cover up it was always because they were getting older and losing that innocence.

Galava · 01/06/2009 13:26

1-4 No,

in the garden and on the beach ... yes

I dont live on a street, more of an avenue, and probably a yes

MrsMattie · 01/06/2009 13:27

None. In or garden, fine. In public, nah.
