Hey all, haven't been around in ages for various uninteresting reasons. How is everyone doing and what is the current nappy madness sweeping the Cloth Users' thread?

I have a few bits and bobs for sale if anyone's interested - the orange BBOS that I bought from lollipopmother and the purple spotty Tots Bots pocket that I think rachelinscotland sold me, among them. No bad reason, just that neither is working for us especially and I reckon they'll get more love elsewhere.

Does anyone have any large Airflows up for grabs? DS is currently in disposables because the medium MEs are leaving red marks on his legs and tummy, so I need to stock up with the bigger size.

4andnotout · 26/05/2009 22:32

Oh how much for the orange bbos cyteen? Not that i should be buying...

treedelivery · 26/05/2009 22:37

Sure you should 4 - you have pennies from itti sale! Woo Hooo!!

Ah but the itti sale will be funding either a towbar or a trailer for all my camping gear

treedelivery · 26/05/2009 22:47

Hmmmm......no I still think nappy purchases are justified.

Off in a vw camper a week on sat, for a week I need to make lists

Suppose will have to dispo it. Phht.

4andnotout · 26/05/2009 22:49

Im hoping to go back to the same site again this week as it is supposed to be nice weather.

cyteen · 27/05/2009 09:00

4 £10 posted for the BBOS - I bought it for £12 and have only used it a handful of times, so it's still in the same good condition as when I bought it.

GothAnneGeddes · 27/05/2009 09:09

I've (or rather we) have just started my nappy library trial. Unfortunately, I have to say I'm not impressed so far. It doesn't help that while dd is a size one on paper (she's about 17lb), in practice she's far too big for the size one's.

Here's what I've used so far:

Tots bots with Lamb Wrap - Definitely on the small side. Leakage after two hours.

Nature's babies stuffables + THREE boosters. Worn from 6.30pm-11pm. Leaked right through to bottom sheet.

Kushies All in One + Booster 11pm-7am. Found dd sat in a little boat, such was the quantity of the leakage.

I've already left a message with the nappy adviser for some bigger sizes. Does any one else have any other advice, as I really want to make this work.

treedelivery · 27/05/2009 09:16

Kushies schmuckies in my view.

I'd be thinking about your wraps, you might have heavy wetter. MotherEase airflow are bomb proof, and I find Thirsties good.
I'd say you need med/size 2 etx by now. Mine is ready to move up in lots of nappies, but not in others.

What boosters are you using?

Mine is 12lb, or something so we should be able to make this work for you.

You can pick up an airflow preloved for a great price, to try out.

ceb80 · 27/05/2009 09:29

4 If you find the turquoise I'll nab that as well
Sure I've bought off you before but can't remember your contact details just let me know and i'll paypal you.
My email is cecole @ hotmail . co.uk

ceb80 · 27/05/2009 09:32

I've not tried any of the nappies in your trial pack so not much help but I find I need to change ds every 3-4 hours. He's been a heavy wetter since day 1!
Have you tried an airflow wrap?

ceb80 · 27/05/2009 09:33

Sorry X post with Tree!

cyteen · 27/05/2009 09:38

For those buying Ittis, I also have a lime green and a purple medium (DS has grown out of them - my boy is getting so big ). Have offered them to someone on another forum so am waiting for response but if she says no they'll be up for grabs here

treedelivery · 27/05/2009 09:38

Ahhh the magic of airflow!

4 you can CAT me [very pleased with my new fangled CAT thingie, only had it a few weeks] but like I say I know there may be others ahead of me in the que for melon and yellow.

GothAnneGeddes · 27/05/2009 09:51

Thanks for the advice so far. I will try and get some bigger wraps from the nappy lady to try.

I think dd is a heavy wetter, she is also a heavy sleeper (lucky me), so I really do need something that can go at least 6+ hours at night time.

There's a bumgenius in the trial pack, so I'll put that on at the next change and see how that does.

treedelivery · 27/05/2009 10:05

Put all the inserts in if you are hoping for 6 hours.

Only hemp or microfibre with fleece liner to allow wee to condense away has done that for me.

Welcome to the complex world of fluff!! It's fun

mumface · 27/05/2009 11:42

Oh dear just dicovered blueberry minkys.Luscious! But are they any good?I fancy the one size to use on both kids(newborn & 2 years)They should be for the price.

JennyPenny22 · 27/05/2009 11:44

Hi ya!

GAG - If the nappies are too small, they will leak, so try not to get too disheartened by it. I hope your advisor gets back to you quickly. My daughter is growing out of the XS sandys - they are starting to leak so moving onto the next size. They are still a brilliant nappy though and were completly bomproof when they fitted right. DD2 is a chunky baby though!

Bumgenious are good so do try that. They are onesize so you won't have a problem with sizing.

With the boosting, try not to boost too much. I know it sounds silly but with too much boosting, it can make the nappy leak because it isn't a good fit. I have made that mistake before!

HeinzSight · 27/05/2009 13:00

HI all... me again

DD's nappy rash has mostly cleared up I'm happy to say.

BUT, I'm having a problem with her BumGenius leaking at night. She woke up 2 hours early this morning soaking and shivering

What should I do? Hemp liners......

this is all still v new to me!

twoclimbingboys · 27/05/2009 13:21

I thnk most of us got our hemp boosters from easy peasy, 5 for £10 and free delivery.
