JennyPenny, thank you SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much for those inserts, you're so lovely

JennyPenny22 · 22/05/2009 19:18

Your welcome.

twoclimbingboys · 22/05/2009 20:38

The camping with little ones sounds like good fun - my dh really wants us to start camping!

Natty - i'm not too sure about the XL WNNNs, after being pre-washed they gape at the leg a little with both parts of the insert in. To be fair I haven't had any leaks and they are beautifully made nappies to look at, but the gape just doesn't inspire me with confidence. I have contacted Upsy Daisy and they make XL nappies, so I will be ordering Toby 3 of those in soy.

TCB - Do you know how much the XL ones are?

I need some more BBH!

twoclimbingboys · 23/05/2009 09:07

I asked Amber at UD, she told me to order them as large and add on coloured poppers to make up the size difference. I them just put a note in the special comments box asking for XL.

I had 2 BBHs but sold them a couple of months ago!

mumface · 24/05/2009 12:10

Hi,
I've been using washables on 2year old boy for a year now.Am 7mths pregnant so getting exited about getting some size1's in now. I have been buying pampers easy up pants for convenience for toddler as been very sick. But spending a fortune and they fall down when wet.But he won't lay down for a change now.
I have just ordered 2 minki Yoyos(1 standard, & slinki) hoping to use these now as pull up's.
Anybody tried these any advice what to stuff with?I've never used pocket nappies b4, I used flexi tots but have just sent them back as they were the early version that went bald.

Octothechildherder · 24/05/2009 12:46

I like microfibre inserts, terries and prefolds - hemp is good too.

I have some weenee microfibre squares new and used if you are interested. CAT me!

Hiya everyone,
Hope you all had a lovely bank holiday, we had a wonderfull time and my new tent was fantastic.
Glad to get them back in cloth tonight tho, as they really reek in sposies, and dd3 kept taking her's off!

4andnotout · 26/05/2009 13:23

Where is everyone?

mumface · 26/05/2009 14:51

I'm here!My new tumble dyer just arrived never had one before hope I won't need so many nappies now I can dry them quickly if needs be.I've heard it makes them feel softer too.I have lots of tots bots cotton that have gone a bit crusty by drying on readiator.Thinking of dying them too.Pink if it's a girl!Anyone tried this? They are nippa unbleached so should be easy.

4andnotout · 26/05/2009 15:08

Hi mumface

I have some wipes that has been dyed and even after weeks of use they still leak a bit of colour

I have been using my tumble dryer today to catch up on the weekend backlog of clothes!

Bold 2in1 would make your tots lovely and soft, my bbh's were feeling quite stiff until i changed detergent now they feel silky again

Debating selling my medium itti's as i tried dd4 in one of dd3's larges and it fitted ok, then i could use the cash to get the colours that im missing Or is that just really sad?

mumface · 26/05/2009 16:17

RE Itt Bitt's It's not sad, pretty colours makes mummy happy! Is that the Bold 2 in 1 tablets I read u could use?
I might not bother dying nappies then, don't want boys stuff going pink!(2 DS'S 2+5 yrs)

ceb80 · 26/05/2009 16:42

oooh 4 have you got any boy coloured ittis? If so might be persuaded to take a couple off your hands!

JennyPenny22 · 26/05/2009 19:18

4 - have you tried washing the wipes on their own for one wash? I have dyed lots of my nappies, pinks and purples mainly and they have never ever leaked. I did put the through an extra wash when I dyed them though.

I love dying nappies! It is so easy to do and makes them look soooo much nicer!

Even with bold 2in1 my cotton nappies are still very crispy, but we have hard water. This is why I am now selling off all my cotton nappies (so if anybody needs anything! )

4andnotout · 26/05/2009 20:55

Jenny yep i put them through loads of times alone to see if they would stop leaking but they haven't, when you ring them out the water comes out purple

ceb i have blue, red, rockamelon, yellow, black, jade, that are fairly unisex, the others are pinks and lilacs

treedelivery · 26/05/2009 21:52

Hello everyone!! Had a mega busy BH so not been mning. Been wierd!

What have I missed????? Who bought what and what can I buy??

Itti's - I like itti's 4

JennyPenny22 · 26/05/2009 21:53

What dye did you use . It definatly isn't meant to do that! What fabric is it? Do you dry your wipes between washes? I haven't dyed my wipes yet but was going to in the next few days. I dont dry my wipes, they go straight into the tub wet and wondering if that makes a difference? I have only done nappies and obviously they are dry most of the time.

treedelivery · 26/05/2009 21:56

4 - did you use salt? Maybe rinse them with salt, I think that is what makes the colour fast.

4andnotout · 26/05/2009 21:59

I bought them from ebay from someone had dyed them with dylon colour dye. I wash them and then dry fully on a peg airer as have loads of wipes in rotation

ceb80 · 26/05/2009 22:08

4 could I take the red and blue ittis off your hands please . Do they come with inserts and how much incl p and p please.
Thanks

treedelivery · 26/05/2009 22:12

Am also interested in whatever everyone else isn't interested in, but have a particular ned for rockamelon if it's left behind. Oh and yellow. And girlie colours. And all of them really

4andnotout · 26/05/2009 22:13

CEB they have both their inserts and are in good nick so how about £9 posted each? i think that is the going rate now days?

4andnotout · 26/05/2009 22:15

I have off the top of my head..
red : ceb
blue: ceb
light pink
fuscia
lilac
jade
black
yellow
rockamelon
i think i may have a turquoise...will check in the morrow!

treedelivery · 26/05/2009 22:19

fuscia please.

I'd take yellow and mellon too, but on all those, I'll defer to anyone else who wants them as I haven't been around this week so seems cheeky to swoop in and nick-a-nappy!

4andnotout · 26/05/2009 22:22

Ok
I have only just decided to sell them (much to dp's annoyance) so haven't listed them anywhere else.
