Oh yes, I have my TB AIO too and quite a few other AIOs but trying to sell them.

There is somebody on UKPL selling a huge stash of nappies for £150 and I am seriously tempted. Just not sure if we can afford it right now and if DH would go mad! And if we have the storage for them all! If I did it on a day DH was working then he might never know! lol. I should get my £190 health in pregnancy grant - so that would be what that went on? Its a lot of money but we would recoupe it all as and when the new baby grows out of them all. If tehy were onesize then I would have commited already but they are all sized which just complicates things (mainly for DH lol). Although I do keep thinking that if they are being stuffed with different things anyway, then we won't be able to just make up in advance anyway to use with either of them.

Do you think I would be mad to go for it?

TheNatty · 12/04/2009 16:31

what nappies are they?
even if u resold a few you could recoup alot of it, i assume its very cheap as a large lot?

4andnotout · 12/04/2009 19:30

4 - yes it is fine, I will email you now.

Natty - there are all different nappies. Definatly over £150 worth but I don't have a list or anything as she just wants one quick, hassle free sale without having to sort through them all properly. I am going to go for it, providing I can find the funds. I am not going to tell DH though - I know that is AWFUL! I won't lie, but just won't mention it unless it comes up. Anything that I don't get one with, I guess I could sell straight away and then I would have some of the money back. Just got to find the money now!

AnnVan · 12/04/2009 20:33

Hi everyone! Gosh I haven't been on in ages. Just wanting to ask a quick question - I'm selling off my wonderoos. How much should I charge, as they are in perfect condition, and barely used? Got to go baby calling!

soon2befamilyof4 · 12/04/2009 21:35

They don't seem to sell very well AnnVan. A few of us have been tryin. I would say maybe £5-6 without inserts or £6-7 with?

I THINK I have just sold mine but won't say for definate till I have got payment.

swampster · 12/04/2009 21:43

Awwwwww, Rachel, Clement is scrummy! Love the bandy little hollow legs and wrinkly knees - he is cute, cute, cute.

Love the name too, DH wouldn't let me use it

twoclimbingboys · 12/04/2009 22:48

I am losing the will to live listing loads of the boys' outgrown clothes on ebay . Trying to motivate myself with the thought of making my order at Wee Notions in a few weeks.

What do you all think of the look of the AI2 on their site? I really want a wool one but bet they will be really expensive!

AnnVan · 12/04/2009 23:00

Thing is, soon I have a buyer already, she has tried them and loves them, so she definitely wants them, but I'm not sure how much to ask for?

I am waiting on a weenotions order - they have a waiting time of 2-3 weeks at the moment though.
What's the AI2?

TheNatty · 12/04/2009 23:12

annvan would you ask if she wants an extra one? ive got one she can buy with or without inserts, i just dont get on with it, litrally brand new ive used it maybe 3-4 times and was bought new from twinkleontheweb.

twoclimbingboys · 12/04/2009 23:21

Here is the AI2 no prices up yet though!

twoclimbingboys · 12/04/2009 23:24

I hope you don't mind me asking but what have you ordered from WN AnnVan?
I'm trying to be good and just stick to NNs, but I am horribly tempted by the pockets and fleece wraps too!

AnnVan · 12/04/2009 23:35

Tcb - I have a NN and a wrap coming from WN. Little man just doesn't get on with pockets at all, but seems to do ok with pop-ins for some strange reason. So maybe this AI2 will work on him.
Natty I could ask her if she wants another Wonderoo - My ones haven't been used much either.

treedelivery · 12/04/2009 23:37

Hello all.

Nappy rash continues, dr thinks anti fungal is required.

Have put all nappies through 2 rinses to banish any demons from my head telling me it's them.

We got some Sains basic non-bio, I think it did the damage. It smelt really really strong.

swampster · 12/04/2009 23:45

Tree, have you tried using Lansinoh as a barrier? I figure billions of sheep can't be wrong and so far it has worked for us too. It is fantastically healing too.

DS1 used to come up in all sorts from laundry powder, nappy creams (especially things like Metanium) and anything containing mineral oil. DS2 is made of rubber and therefore unaffected by most chemicals. DS3 is doing quite nicely on Lansinoh and sometimes a bit of Sudocrem (which is the one mineral oil thing I know that doesn't set DS1 off).

swampster · 12/04/2009 23:47

Oooooooooh!!! that AI2 looks a bit like my Sugar Peas that I am counting down the days to!

treedelivery · 12/04/2009 23:48

lanisoh.

Doh!!! Have used a non petroleum jelly till now. Will slosh it on next change. Which wont be soon as she is asleep on chest so don't dare move. Been having a mare with sleep/colic business.

soon2befamilyof4 · 13/04/2009 00:02

The thing I find works, although very odd but is to put a redbush teabag in the bath. It has amazing healing properties and completly natural. Its the only thing I have found to help DD. She gets SO sore - usulaly if she has had dipsposable wipes or nappies and most creams dont seem to help. But a nice warm bath with some redbush tea works wonders! And doesn't then effect the nappies. It annoys me trying to use creams as you can't put them next to fleece and all my pockets are fleece lined. Yet if I use say a fitted nappy with no fleece it makes the rash worse!

Can't wait for rachel to come back and tell us more about her new addition!

LackaDAISYcal · 13/04/2009 13:55

tree if it's fungal, you need to wash your nappies at 60 to avoid reinfection.

the redbush tea sounds like a great idea soon....I use chamomile tea for wetting my reuseable wipes but might try that instead as my DD gets horrible nappy rash at times.

thebluefoxategreensocks · 13/04/2009 16:25

Hi everyone Enjoying my lovely little boy - though could have done with more sleep last night! Started giving Clement what I thought would be his bedtime feed at about 10pm .... but he refused to let go of me until ... 2am!!! He would just scream if I stopped feeding him - he acts like he's a starving big boy! lol Hopefully my milk will be fully in soon, and then he can stuff his face!

Having fun with tiny nappies! So far he's just worn the xs Sandy's and size 1 Kissaluvs - both are a lovely fit on him and contain everything so perfectly! And of course, small Airflow covers on top! Looking at the size small before he was born I was sure they looked huge - but amazingly, they are a perfect fit! Not tried the tie-on nappies yet - or anything else more fancy! lol So, still lots more fun to have!

Will need to sort through things soon, as I must have at least 5 small wraps that are just too small! Got 2 lovely bright (brand new!) Poochies wraps - one is neon orange and the other aqua blue, as well as the very cute frog Weenotions wrap, a tartan Nappy Nation wrap, as well as a plain white wrap. Most are probably quite OK as far as leg sizing goes, but Clement has a very wide waist (guess it goes along with his broad shoulders!) so all these lovely wraps are too small around his middle! Sooo, if anyone is looking for some cute small wraps, let me know!

twoclimbingboys · 13/04/2009 16:52

lackadaisycal - if my DH takes a turn making the wipe solution he insists on using roibos tea and a load of olive oil. It does heal their bums but also stains your wipes!

TheNatty · 13/04/2009 16:53

@ 10-2 feed rachel!!

very jealous of ur little man, cant wait to have a tiny one to put in nappies

thebluefoxategreensocks · 13/04/2009 18:03

My big boy can't even fit into his lovely wool longies I had all ready for him to wear after his bath just now! At least I didn't make them myself - but they were brand new and all lanolised - and so cute too! But barely squeezed his waist into them - and about 1 inch too long on the legs! Oh well, guess I'll have to keep crocheting the ones I was working on! And these will have to go in the pile of too small items to sell!

treedelivery · 13/04/2009 18:06

Hi all

Right, will do 60 degree wash, currently doing a 60 so might be a good cure. Thanks for that. Will also try the redbush, have redbush and vanilla which will hopefully add a pleasant aroma to her little bot.

Rachel - great to have a tiny baby about, in xs Sany's. Fancy hime being too big for all those wraps. Hope milk arrives soon, such a relief when it does isn't. Like a pizza and a burger and a kebab after a day of salad.

Hmmmm pizza. Total zombie after rough night so just need FOOD all the time.

See ya for now.

soon2befamilyof4 · 13/04/2009 20:34

Aww Rachel - you sound very happy!
Can't believe those wraps are too small already! I don't think I need anymore for my newborn as we have a really good amount - but I don't know what will fit and what will work yet, so if you happen to still have some left after my baby is born, I might be interested. Obviously don't save them for me though. I think I have a good variety, I should be able to make them work. Are you finding that the poo all stays in the nappy or does it often leak onto the wrap? I know when DD was newborn we had to change the wrap at almost every poo BUT we didn't have anywhere near as good nappies at the time (mainly used prefolds) so not really sure what to expect. I have some wooles too but worried that if the poo is leaking a lot them they will just get ruined? Or need washing loads and will spend most of the time being lanolised! Also, how man nappies do you think you go though a day? Sorry to give you 20 questions! lol.

4 - I couldn't get through to you via email last night I don't think? It came back as failed? Mine is jennifer _ webb @ hotmail . co . uk without the spaces. Sorry - seem to get thousands of junk emails if I post it properly on here!

What would you lot do in this situation - somebody offered to send me some free (nappy related) bits that was being very generous and I was really looking forward to getting it. HOwever this was weeks ago and I stlil haven't got it? I don't want to email as I don't want to sound really ungratefull or pushy or anything, but at the same time, I would have bought some myself if they are not coming and also hope they are not lost in the post? It was nobody from here but haven't put too many details on just in case!

With regards to the redbush tea - I would try it in the bath before on the wipes as it will be much weaker and as your baby is quite young I would just double check. I am sure it would be fine though. I didn't get on with using it on the wipes as I found it stunk when I opened the box and also stained the wipes (although not that bothered about the stains).
