tree: Yes, hoping to use reusables from the start! The very kind swampster sent me an XS Sandys recently, so that's put aside with clothes to be baby's first nappy! And I have a very cute tiny Nappy Nation wrap with tartan print to go on top! Not sure if midwives will know about putting cloth on, but as long as I'm awake/alert/alive, I think I'd like to dress baby myself!

Aww thats nice rachel. We got some free huggies so although I hate them I thought I might as well as they are free. We have quite a lot though. We might end up just using the disposables in hospital and then selling the huggies off cheaply locally.

treedelivery · 01/04/2009 17:06

2 new babies soon, how exciting!

Mine 10 weeks tommorow in reality, about 3 weeks in my own warped reality. Can't believe how fast it has gone.

Haven't decided if should sel on xs me stuff or save in case of another sapling.....

Yes, I have a free pack of Huggies (as well as nearly full pack of Pampers that were given as gift when Benjamin was born but he outgrew them very quickly!)...but I'm kind of keen to see if we can have cloth from the first nappy! Abigail didn't fit into her prefolds until she was 6 weeks old (as she was only 5lb 14oz at birth and a very tiny thing!), and Benjamin went into cloth at 6 days old (he was 7lb 5oz), so thinking surely we can go cloth from the start this time...esp as I now have a lovely stash of small nappies (at least lots of size 1 Tots), and I only had prefolds the other times.

thebluefoxategreensocks · 01/04/2009 20:25

Are the Ittis not working for you, rusmum?

treedelivery · 01/04/2009 20:25

What change has occured? What you gone off/got into?

rusmum · 01/04/2009 21:05

treedelivery · 01/04/2009 21:06

I hear ya!

TheNatty · 01/04/2009 21:14

what is the smallest and best newborn nappy in ur opinion guys?
i WAS going to use disposables, and i have a pack of newborn bought for hospital (may be in 3 nights with section so just in case, dont trust DH to wash and dry them in my absence..)
so.. i have BTP, which is SHOULD be ok to use from what, 6 weeks, maybe earlier?
so what do i use in the mean time?

ilovemydogandMrObama · 01/04/2009 21:15

Well, Tree - I kept my Sandy's Xsmall, not so much as I planned another baby, but was so disorganized that I just chucked stuff into the loft... And apparently breastfeeding is not contraception [duh emocion] so ended up going back up into the loft to see what was available!

So, keep the Sandy's until you decide for definite...

How long shall I give somebody who says they want something before offering to somebody else? Was very glad I put DD in the WNNN last night as it has since been washed and dried and still haven't received payment. I am not in that much of a hurry if I know the lady will def pay but I have had about 5 other people want it so obviously if I have turned all this interest away and then she never buys it then it would be really annoying. AND I don't know if to carry on using it as we are still short on night nappies and I am only selling as I prefer my UD and would rather put the money towards that.

rusmum · 01/04/2009 21:28

2-3 days if no response. prefolds good for nb, dodnt like them after this though

rusmum · 01/04/2009 21:30

what is going rate for a preloved bbh?

soon2befamilyof4 · 01/04/2009 21:41

I bought my BBH for £7 brand new but with a popper missing if that helps?

Are all BBH onesize? I didn't even know it was onesize till I read the label today. I was going to try it on DD and if it didn't last the night I would sell it but if it is OS then I might as well keep for when the baby starts needing a night nappy. Looks very bulky though?

4andnotout · 01/04/2009 21:45

soon if you do sell can i be 1st in line?

mumoftoby · 01/04/2009 21:48

4 - if you mean the BBH. Can I buy the WNNN please soon if the buyer no longer wants it?
