ooh, that explains my smelly washing machine BBM. I usually get little bits of goop still stuck to clothes, especially whites. It has improved since we changed from the liquitabs to just liquid, but I have some cheap bio powder that I use to run through on an empty 90 degree wash every so often to clean it out.

three weeks and counting .....but had a few BIG contraction type things last night and the BHs are a bit annoying this morning.

Any news from KOMH? I haven't seen her name about on here for a bit.

BigBadMouseInHauntedHouse · 15/10/2008 10:12

Oohhhh, not long now Lacks .

KOHM has namechanged I think to tothrottleablackbird - or maybe that was someone else

LackaDAISYcal · 15/10/2008 10:29

thanks BBM. I'll keep an eye out for her

We will be using our Bumble tonight! I washed it three times and it took nearly three days to dry out on the airer, which isn't so good, but we will see how it goes.
As it is a birth to potty, will it need folding down much for a skinny 5 month old?

xx

BigBadMouseInHauntedHouse · 15/10/2008 13:48

3 days . Don't think mine takes that long (thankfully). I don't have my bumble folded down at all for 4mo DS so you will probably find the same.

I use mine at night only atm (bit too bulky for day at his age / size). I stuff it with half a bamboo terry and put an airflow wrap over the top. He's a heavy wetter so it is soaked through by the morning but I've never had a leak yet.

I need to buy some more night nappies - ran out the other day and had to put him in a discpicable and the next morning he had two huge blisters on his bottom . No idea why but it's the second time it has happened and both times he had been in a dispicable over night - I think he has a sensitive bottom .

FullMoonHowler · 15/10/2008 14:08

BBMIHH - you know what Essie is going to tell you ... btw, still so impressed with half-dry bamboo sandy's....

BigBadMouseInHauntedHouse · 15/10/2008 15:16

My Sandy's throw down the gauntlet to Essie's Pop-ins and changellenge them to a wee-absorbing duel

BigBadMouseInHauntedHouse · 15/10/2008 15:17

rusmum · 15/10/2008 20:38

ok so i am back to square 1with lots of leaks. absolutely soaked through twice tody and a leg leak. whatt am i doing wrong. am losing the will to live.

rusmum · 15/10/2008 20:39

ps lo v e sandy but only got 3.

ilovemydog · 15/10/2008 20:41

bbm well, I'm allergic to scented detergent, so the diapers tend to get washed in surcare.

Have been in London all day with DP looking after DD and DS. He has not called mil!

Isn't there a button somewhere? Am frantically trying to find owners manual . DS did his usual 2:30 booty call. Fun when you gotta get the 6:00 am train to London....

Same tomorrow, but then perhaps a joy ride to Cornwall later next week!

babyjjbaby · 15/10/2008 20:41

what did she have on today prefolds ?

BigBadMouseInHauntedHouse · 15/10/2008 20:56

ilmd - really? if you're passing let me know . Mine didn't come with manuals and what's worse - they haven't read all those baby care books. DS seems completely unaware that he is supposed to nap at some point during the day - he hasn't had a daytime nap since he was 2.5 weeks, until today when the nasty cold has really run him down. He also hasn't read the bit about gaining weight, he seems to think he should starting losing weight once he hits 4mo .

to quote my dad when I told him DS has now started to lose weight "well, that's ok - rather that than be fat, you don't want a fat baby"

rusmum - yes, what have you used while getting the leaks + what wraps?

babyjjbaby · 15/10/2008 21:32

has any1 got any boosters fro sale not realbulky ones tho and out of curiosty what do u use in night nappi ie what nappy and how many boosters no boosters thanks

ilovemydog · 15/10/2008 23:02

BBM DS doesn't do naps. Ever. His sister who's 2, needs her naps, but he's a Duracell battery - keeps going.

Will try and figure out where you are and where we're going in Cornwall... Beware of strangers with Bambino Mios!

Essie3 · 15/10/2008 23:03

Hahaha, challenge accepted! I reckon the pop-in with full booster will stand up to the Sandy's...

Sorry, just lurking - DS has a rotten cold, and so have I, which is annoying because if I was in full health I'd deal better with the bad nights.

ilovemydog · 15/10/2008 23:12

Essie - you want to go 50/50 on that?

Or ask the audience?

rusmum · 16/10/2008 09:52

HI - using prefolds again, rikki wrap though. baby how old/big your LO? and which size PF you use. Rose too big for small i think (12lb) ....

Debs75 · 16/10/2008 11:00

Hi new mum (3rd time) here. Baby Robyn is 4 weeks old tomorrow 7 1/2 lbs. I have little lamb size 1 nappies but they seem really big when next to the pampers(still in size 1 new baby). Am going to try them soon before I get used to buying nappies.

Have heard about washable wipes, what are these and what lotion or liquid do you use with them.

Do you get worse nappy rash with reusables?

rusmum · 16/10/2008 11:04

debs i love robyn, was going to have it for mu dd2.

rusmum · 16/10/2008 11:06
