I’ve just read about baby Preston Davey and I cannot stop thinking about him. I have a 13-month-old of my own, which is probably why this has hit me so hard — I can really relate and my baby is my everything.
I’m crying as I write this. Why does it hurt so much for a baby I’ve never even met? Has anyone else felt this way?

It is almost certain that he will be violently attacked, probably multiple times, if not murdered in prison.

I don’t know how I feel about that, but I do know that even a whole life banged up is nothing compared to the suffering he inflicted on a defenceless baby.

I'm very glad Varley got a full life sentence and Fazakerley got 25 years. I hope they both have fun in prison, where they will be the targets of literally every other prisoner.
