I don’t get the concept. If you got more than one Easter egg you’d more than likely still be eating it now given Easter was only last weekend. It’s chocolate and you go on eating a bit a day till it’s finished 🤷‍♀️

Mumtobabyhavoc · 13/04/2023 05:57

Left over chocolate? Never heard of it.

I haven’t started my Easter egg yet.

Why would you give away the opportunity of biting off rabbit ears, or crunching through egg shaped chocolate? Buy some normal chocolate to make rice krispies with, you have Easter chocolate once a year FFs....

LindorDoubleChoc · 13/04/2023 06:34

How many Easter eggs did you have op? I'm really intrigued. My kids have always just had one from me and dh, plus one from either set of grandparents if we happened to see them at Easter. I doubt there was ever a year when they got 3 each.

Fandabedodgy · 13/04/2023 06:35

They keep for ages. Ration them over the coming weeks.

Mumma2Ro · 13/04/2023 06:51

Haha your comments made me laugh. Maybe I am too quick to want them gone but I have to try very hard to maintain my weight so I don’t want the temptation. My poor kids haha! But you are all right, I’ll leave them a few weeks and give them a chance to eat them. I’ll put my big girl pants on and resist eating them 😆 I have 2 kids and they got approx 11 Easter eggs each! Ridiculous I know. Only one from me and hubby. The rest from grandparents, godparents, cousins, neighbours etc. far too much for. 3 year old and a 6 year old!
I like the idea of take bits out on day trips for snacks/treats.
thanks all! X

Leftover Easter eggs?! Sorry, not a concept I’m familiar with.

You know, it's like left over money.

potatowhale · 13/04/2023 07:00

Don't cook with them. It's a waste.

maddy68 · 13/04/2023 10:00

In the cupboard with left over wine. In a fantasy world

PelvicFloorClenchReminder · 13/04/2023 10:14

Put them in the back of the cupboard, wait for the expiry date to go past and then give them to your least favourite SIL for Christmas, or birthday.

I got the idea for this from my SIL, by the way. I don't think she likes me.

Leftover easter eggs? Sorry I don't understand the question?

Urban legend?

Yesterday I split an egg in two and put a dollop of ice cream in them for the dc for pudding.
We also melted half an egg and ate with banana & breadsticks - we normally do this with a bar of choc anyway.
