thank you

I gave mine all away to the local care home. Anytime I get flowers I donate them to them too as I'm not a flower person. Its lovely to see their wee faces lighten up!

RideACockHorseToSunburyCross · 12/04/2023 22:24

We make a rocky road with whatever is left in may.

Campervangirl · 12/04/2023 22:30

Wtaf is a leftover Easter egg, it's not a thing in our house 🤤

What? 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

😱😱

(This question should never have had the chance to materialise!! Easter was 4 days ago...why do you still have eggs left???)

mathanxiety · 12/04/2023 22:32

Make an easy fudge sauce using marshmallows and pour over ice cream, if you want to make work for yourself.

I'd personally just eat them.

TwoPointFourCatsAndDogs · 12/04/2023 22:34

Chocolate fondue with fresh fruit.

BestWorkOfArt · 12/04/2023 22:37

Easter was only a few days ago. My kids have eaten a few but have a lot left. Maybe give people a chance to eat them. 😬

quietnightmare · 12/04/2023 22:37

How many?

LouLou198 · 12/04/2023 22:38

I have broken each dc's eggs up so they take up less space in a Tupperware container each. No need to "use them up", it will last for ages.

DiabolicalDee · 12/04/2023 22:43

Squash them and put into the freezer until you feel like them.

Leftover Easter eggs?! Sorry, not a concept I’m familiar with.

I am also puzzled. I followed my normal tradition and had an Easter egg for breakfast on Easter Sunday and there is very little chocolate in my house today although my husband makes his last for weeks which I find a very strange way to behave.

My kids eggs are dated months ahead and they’ll be fine for ages after that. Why freeze them?

DiabolicalDee · 12/04/2023 22:49

OK don't freeze them 🤷‍♀️

RedToothBrush · 12/04/2023 22:50

Freeze cream eggs. Cut in half. Add to brownies.

00100001 · 12/04/2023 22:50

What to do with them?

Eat them.

Nothing else.

Huh? Why freeze them?

DiabolicalDee · 12/04/2023 22:54

Oh ffs, don't freeze them then 🤣

OP sounded like she wanted them out of the way and out of sight. Besides, frozen chocolate lovely.

MissingMoominMamma · 12/04/2023 22:56

This is why I have empty nest syndrome. No kids = no eggs to steal 😔.

😅 Sorry, I wasn’t trying to come across as an arse but realise reading back it may have actually come across as just that. Apologies.

Frozen chocolate, is that a thing? Never tried it but I’m vegan and vegan chocolate tends not to be that great so I don’t bother with it. Maybe freezing it would actually improve it.

SleepingStandingUp · 12/04/2023 23:02

It was Easter like 3 seconds ago, kids aren't back in school, they're not leftover yet. Let the kids keep eating them.

Then it's cornflake Cakes not rice crispier Cakes.

Yes, absolutely a thing and would be lovely and snappy if Easter egg depth. Try it, it might improve it!

deplorabelle · 12/04/2023 23:07

Why is there a thread like this every year?

Fucking eat them.

Chocolate is delicious, chocolate flavoured things are okay and hot chocolate is mostly foul so don't degrade the chocolate by cooking it into something else. Why would you?

If you want the chocolate gone faster please note that baking with Easter eggs is ADDING ingredients.

disneydatknee · 12/04/2023 23:08

Add them to brownies or chocolate cakes. We usually melt them down and make our own choc bar creations. Do you have any of those silicone popper toys? You can use them as moulds and pop skittles or other round sweets in them. We have loads left over too. We buy them one each and then so does every other family member!

ArtichokeAardvark · 12/04/2023 23:12

Break them into little shards and use as chocolate chips in baking. Cookies, muffins, pancakes - I did the lot last year and we still had blasted eggs left over. The final batch were melted into a (not particularly nice) fondue with strawberries to dip.

YungDumbThrills · 12/04/2023 23:13

Rocky road! Easy to make and absolutely delicious 😋
