My 20 month old likes to dance but I struggle to find songs she likes!

She likes baby shark, nursery rhymes don't seem to cut it, she seems to like pop music and dances for a few seconds but then I think the music is too fast for her...
Anyway what songs does your 2 year old like to dance to?

Unfortunately my toddler loves Peppas First Album 🙈

Well we are currently having Grandmaster Flash, White Lines on repeat for our 2yo!!! Hoping he isn’t listening too closely to the lyrics....

And any 90s dance music. Pump up the jam. Naked in the rain.

Should I be concerned?! Grin

Super Simple Songs on YouTube and anything by Laurie Berkner is a hit here. To be fair, I quite like Laurie Berkner too 😂

2 and 4 yr old here. They like anything from the greatest showman, George Ezra Shotgun, ed Sheehan Castle on the hill, Katy Perry- several, but Roar is a favourite, Taylor Swift you need to calm down, quite a lot of Pink songs (have to be careful with those) Deacon Blue, queen, Madonna....... they have only ever heard baby shark twice, on holiday.

Extremely outing, but my 2.5 year old only likes Neil Sedaka 🤦🏻‍♀️ She screams at everything else but grins like a loony when he’s on.

2yo DC loves

Wheels on the bus (MUST be the Justin Fletcher version Hmm)
Anything by Peppa Pig (Our Amazon echo has a wide repertoire of songs by that bloody pig)
and, strangely, High Hopes by Panic! At the Disco and Giant by Calvin Harris/Rag and Bone Man

Wheelerdeeler · 22/10/2019 21:59

Anything by blippi

mnahmnah · 22/10/2019 22:04

Bloody Blippi! Yes!

A friend of a friend jumped into him in Ibiza. Picture him without the silly outfit. Topless and tanned, clubbing. He is HOT

Stevie Wonder - Superstition

Jake Bugg - Lightning Bolt

Johnny Cash - Jackson (actually the version from Walk The Line, movie)

Abba - Dancing Queen

Frozen - Let it Go (of course!)

Mine are adults now but loved songs from a book called "Okkitoggiunga." There was also a further book after that, but I can't remember the title, sorry.
Songs like: Cauliflowers Fluffy Cabbages Green: I am a Music Man: Wheels on the bus: Five Little Speckled Frogs: Wind the Bobbin Up:
There's a Worm at the Bottom of the Garden.
Showing my age now!
.... All 3 of mine loved these with the actions that accompanied them and one even went on to study music at uni.... I find for me, that Music/playing an instrument/singing all use part of the brain that no other activity can reach.
I really hope that's of some use!!

2 year old loves Coco melon songs, my fave 80s music he dances with me (he loves Phil Collin's in the air tonight, asks for it 😂), Baby shark and some modern music on the radio he randomly dances too lol.

He doesn't really dance to nursery rhymes, we know quite alot he just likes to sing them.
