What songs does your toddler like?

My 20 month old likes to dance but I struggle to find songs she likes!

She likes baby shark, nursery rhymes don't seem to cut it, she seems to like pop music and dances for a few seconds but then I think the music is too fast for her...
Anyway what songs does your 2 year old like to dance to?

The wiggles! Always a hot. Dd1 went to see them on concert and they are amazing live tooBlush Baby Shark And 'Taylor Swift' currently for dd2, as well as stormzy apparently according to dh.

Little baby bum is great for a quick fix, but anything dd2 can learn the moves to is a hit. So watch the videos for the dance moves of the wiggles. Alexa is on the wiggles overload of rock a bye your bear and hot potato Grin

Head shoulders knees and toes is a favourite here atm, I'm sick of hearing it!

If you have Alexa ask it to play toddler songs, it has a good mix, or kids songs for something more Pop-ish.

Or YouTube have some audio only toddler music videos.

Nearly four year old DS loves Disney songs, and if you ask Alexa to play CBeebies there's a whole playlist of soundtracks and songs from CBeebies programmes which he really loves.

Super Simple Songs on YouTube was popular in this house for a very long time!

smoresmores · 21/10/2019 23:15

Trolls soundtrack as it's so upbeat

AnotherEmma · 21/10/2019 23:23

Super Simple Songs on YouTube is the latest obsession.

We also have some nursery rhyme CDs by Vicky Arlidge which have been a hit ever since he was a baby. We have Sing and Learn 1 & 2 which have lots of classics and they are done very well (DS likes them and we don't find them annoying). I recently got the Toddler Tantrums one too, I don't like as much but DS is obsessed with one of the songs and demands it on repeat, but at least it keeps him happy in the car!

We play other music too, Disney songs (hit and miss - mostly miss - so far) and "adult" stuff which he isn't hugely into, with a few exceptions (he went through a reggae phase Grin)

When mine was a toddler (only a few years back) he loved 2 unlimited- no limits. Oh and 'I like to move it, move it' and the Macarena. Those last two probably inspired by the films (Madagascar and hotel Transylvania) blah blah blah...

SKMCR · 21/10/2019 23:30

My 20m old loves pop music. Sclub7, George Ezra, coldplay, newton faulkner, the lumineers. Katy Perry (Roar, etc), Taylor Swift, Justin Timberlake 'say something' and happy. Daft Punk to name a few.

My ten month old loves reggae... We discovered it at a family party, perhaps because it's rhythmic? He also loves I'll give you everything you need (cockatoo in Malibu) from the Muppets sound track!

Pantheon · 22/10/2019 14:26

Baby Shark (of course), wind the bobbin up, sleeping bunnies, do the propeller by the wiggles, wheels on the bus. I have no idea what's in the charts anymore.

I also have a "dancing" toddler!

Little baby bum on you tube and Spotify, simple tunes but fun.

I searched on Spotify for toddler movement and got a few good playlists. Find a few more she likes, try sleeping bunnies, search them and see other playlists.
