What songs does your toddler like?

My 20 month old likes to dance but I struggle to find songs she likes!

She likes baby shark, nursery rhymes don't seem to cut it, she seems to like pop music and dances for a few seconds but then I think the music is too fast for her...
Anyway what songs does your 2 year old like to dance to?

Wiggles on YouTube have many horribly catchy dance tunes.

Bounce Patrol on YouTube is a big hit in this house.

Black Lace - Superman. My dsc is 7 and my ds is 7 months old and they do the dance together and love it, along with Agadoo. Alexa is a witch...

Shake it off, let it go, the moana song, wind the bobbin up 😁

BetweenTheMoon · 21/10/2019 21:58

We like London Rhymes and Newton Faulkner has just released a kids album/ in a group called My Moozic which we'll be listening to next. Both on streaming platforms.

Super simple songs is the only nursery rhyme channel I'll play. It takes a few repeats of a song before DS2 gets into it but he likes 5 little ducks at the moment. He also likes people doing covers of Disney songs that DH keeps playing for him. But he mainly dances to baby shark.

George Ezra - Paradise
My 4 year old loves it

Montyman · 21/10/2019 22:06

George Ezra shotgun, 3 year old loves it. Super simple songs also.

My two year old dances to brown eyed girl and come on Eileen!

Letthemysterybe · 21/10/2019 22:07

My toddler never gets bored with cocomelon songs on you tube. They are all about as annoying a baby shark.

BertieBotts · 21/10/2019 22:08

Oh yes the songs from the movie Sing! We look at those on YouTube and he dances to them

strawbmilk · 21/10/2019 22:08

Sleeping bunnies. They all go crazy for it in the baby groups 😂
And the super simple songs on you tube that has been mentioned

Toddlers like grown-up music too! My son used to like a lot of folk (Pete Seeger's folk songs for children is a great album), also loves Queen, Prince, Black Sabbath, anything with guitars and a good beat, even hip hop! Having said that Baby Shark and Old Macdonald remain his favourites....and he love the Wiggles. But if we're dancing then he likes adult music.

mizzles · 21/10/2019 22:10

I have a Spotify playlist with an odd collection of songs DD likes. Favourites are "Singing in the Rain", "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" and "Yellow Submarine". [shrug]

justasking111 · 21/10/2019 22:10

you tube has lots of compilations. One we loved was

justasking111 · 21/10/2019 22:13

another

CameraTime · 21/10/2019 22:13

DD (2.5) has always liked any music at all, but she's recently got the hang of doing actions rather than dancing, and likes:
Twinkle Twinkle
Wheels on the Bus
Row, Row, Row Your Boat
Wind the Bobbin Up

Little Baby Bum is quite a good YouTube channel - I think it's maybe on Netflix too. It has lots of kids' songs and little cartoon characters doing the actions.

justasking111 · 21/10/2019 22:15

This one is a winner here

astonishedzebra · 21/10/2019 22:18

Sleeping bunnies xx

BertieDrapper · 21/10/2019 22:18

My nearly 4 year old DD isn't massively into music!
She loves Disney songs but she doesn't really react to "normal" music... which I find rather annoying as would love her to get into more pop music as I loved music from a young age!!

OkayGoooouuuuuullllll · 21/10/2019 22:19

My 2 year old is obsessed with anything Disney
