Hi.

My name is Billy, I'm 31 and I'm from South Wales.

Sadly I lost my lovely wife to Leukaemia only a few months ago and now I am a single parent. Its hard for me but I am strong, and so determined to bring up my 2 beautiful children in a loving environment.

I know this is a 'mums' forum, but I'd really appreciate any tips help or feedback any of you can offer me.

Billy, you will get a huge amount of support here on serious threads. However, as the majority of posters are women it can turn into a bit of a cat fight on some threads. A lot of women enjoy that type of banta. Pick and choose your threads carefully.

Hi Billy and welcome! - I've been using MN now for a few years and it's usually the best site in the world to be on - just a few hiccups recently as the site seems to have been attracting a few trolls following mentions in the press.

Hope you find it as supportive as I have, my best advice is to jump in with both feet and enjoy!

Also I'd second the recommendation for homestart - as an organisation they helped me through a very difficult time work/stress-wise last year and they're just fabulous - give them a call
