Hi.
I have 9 week girl. She loves sucking and has found her fist but cant keep it in her mouth so gets cross. I give her a dummy at night and she self settles.she stirs in the night and starts sucking hands but cant settle bk without dummy. In day time she goes through times when she just wants to chill suckibg her dumny. If we are out and about she is fine without abd when we play shes ok with out it. Is this all normal.Another thing she does is spit it out if she wants attention.didnt no 9 week olds were so manipultive haha. Is this all normal? Thanks

8-2 is good for 9 weeks. It's likely that age is probably in need of a feed by thenSmile

Some babies do sleep through really early - some don't. I could go on at great length about the unfairness of this but will spare you the tirade! At nearly 16 months we have only once had a 6 hour stretch, so 8-2 at 9 weeks sounds bloody brilliant!

I think I've said this up thread. Ignore the HV, do what you need to do to maximise sleep.

My DS has slept through for 1 week ever in his 18 months and normally wakes 1-2 times for me to replace his dummy. He is obviously old enough to do this himself but sometimes just hands it to me as he needs to know I'm there. I'm fine with this. I still think 18mo is tiny and all cries for attention deserves attention (I want him to know if he needs me, I'll be there) so 9 weeks is barely out of the womb.

Yeah i love cuddles although she does sometimes take a while to get down after a night time feed. I guess some nights she might sleep longer than others.Depends hpw much she has on dream feed i guess

I wouldn't even be that scientific about it. All sorts of stuff wake babies and children and it changes constantly. Making sure they are fed is just one small element.
