I finally realised that the feb procrastinators is very quiet, assumed there must be a march procrastinators, but I can't find it.

Am I the only one?

Hi all fellow procrastinators,

A nice Victoria sponge every time!

I've been in to uni this morning to hand in an assignment due at 4pm today - email receipt timed at 5 hours before the deadline... this makes a pleasant change!

Now I should be revising for an exam on Monday and doing a short essay due in Monday - uni admin cocked up the submission dates and originally we were told it was due on the 16th...

But... instead of working I'm going to the gym! :)

I think this baking business is definitely the way to go. I made the best choc chip cookies EVER (thanks to HFW). The only problem is they only took a couple of minutes to throw together, and 10 in the oven - I think I need to find something more complicated, but equally tasty if I am to improve my constructive procrastination skills.

I would suggest danish pastries, I can waste a whole school day that way.

24 hours to go until TMA deadline and dp has just berated me for not doing any work . I have not organised my thoughts in any meaningful way at all. I have written words just not very good ones.

My plan has been sitting in a notebook for nearly a week. Too much stuff (some good, mostly horrible) has happened since.

Off to the library to try and get it done tomorrow.

I could get an extension but I'd rather not if possible, I'll just end up further behind.

I spent tonight working faffing-about-on-here-and-in-RL then mother phoned, so dp couldn't get through to tell me about the snow he's suffering. I have tomorrow. All will be fine

Really not envying you guys your essays. I have 700 words to do so I can submit an openings course I did to kill time, and can I get on and finish?

I'm a procrastinator too! Although I'm doing a film production degree at a concrete uni rather than OU. Should've graduated last year but got chicken pox right near deadlines, so I'm retaking two modules. Got to make 2 really good films by 25th May.

Should be working but I'm currently on here, and about to go and meet my boyfriend.

Yum, introduction written, plan looking tickety boo, and 5 squares of home made chocolate fudge consumed.

Again, need to work on recipes that take longer. Apart from waiting/fridge time, the fudge really is as bad as the chocolate chip cookies. Danish pastries just look too difficult.....essay might be easier.

1400 words to go....

I wrote about 1200 words at the library today. It is still a mess but the main body is there at least.

I don't know how I am going to manage the rest (and in particular the editing/rejigging, as I really struggle with the structure) as I am so exhausted I want to cry.

It's gone. Last part was really weak but just got to the stage of Do not re-read it, you'll cry even more. Gone. Finished.

Well done swedish I always feel that way when I send mine off, but they come back fine.

I have the whole essay (2000) to write by Friday evening and I'm working all day Wednesday and Friday, so I really must stir me stumps!

Well, erm, I got a couple of responses to emails, which has helped. And, erm, I've got the rate card for my uni's kit so I can start on the projected budget (fortunately I get kit for free as I'm studying there). Er, that's it

Going to do a bit more now though...

So, many words written yesterday, and I decided to ignore the autocorrect to stupid american spellings, so I could just crack on.

Today I woke up realising that though content is OKish, structure is completely wrong. So, more words, better structure. Have to be finished by the time the DCs get home, because today is homework day.

Onwards, and not back on here till I'm done. Hoping for a procrastination fail rather than an good writing fail!

No baking, no fudge making, lunch from what is in the fridge, no shops, and probably quite a lot of .

I've got my notes, have done the reading, made a plan and know what I want to say... so just need to get on and do it! The deadline is Friday but I want to hand it in tomorrow and be able to forget it!

I fucking hate referencing!

The end is in sight. Conclusion and refs to do, and the DCs will be coming though the gate any minute. Will definitely be doing more this evening - homework club style, and get it finished and off in the morning. Yey!

Oh God - how have I not found you all before! Am OUing and TMAing and got an extension for the every TMA of this block... But WHY am I not studying now... Argh...

I even went out for a run this evening .

chipmunk, you know that crap essay I was bleating about, and saying how it was crap, and you said you often think that when you submit and then it's fine etc? I just got my mark back - 87! Woo hoo. Honestly, who'd a thunk it? Not me that's for sure.

I'm glad many of you got the work done :) I've done some but not finished so will have to get on with it this evening as well as do the prep for tomorrows seminars...

And I had such good intentions too!

Mine was sent off yesterday. Have already warned my tutor it is probably rubbish :o

I am really behind - I chose the first of the two options because I hadn't even studied the chapter for the second option! Also haven't done the activities/media kit stuff even for chapter 1.

I always find it hard to get going after an assignment though.

i've got an extension on mine fuzzpig until 20th as had TMA to do for another course first and loads of non OU stuff catching me unawares!

I am just as behind as you and am going to have to sit with my head in the books all week to be able to write the TMA. don't know then whether it is better to try and catch up with the other stuff or just do the current weeks work and try to catch up at a later date

I don't know, I feel like I need to do it in order. I was offered an extension (my tutor is really understanding and I told her I'm having a rough time) but I turned it down this time as (a) I knew it'd make me get further behind and (b) I will probably need extensions more later especially as I'm going FT at work so I want to save them up IYSWIM.

What is the other course? I'll be doing Children's Literature at the end of this year so there will be an overlap.
