Mcnultysexgod · 07/01/2010 21:21

Was going to post on it, to stop the lynching, but got scared. Would anybody join me? [coward emoticon] Penthe was nice and reasonable as usual.

Mcnultysexgod · 07/01/2010 21:23

You are all reading it now.

TheMysticMasseuse · 07/01/2010 21:24

gosh 40 pages. don't think i have the stamina. back to fanfiction i think, i deserve it tonight, i have worked my butt off, unpacked everything, decorated the girls room ready for their arrival and tidied all their toys etc, went to diy shop and lugged back a million things, cleaned everything and had shopping delivered.

and so the swiss adventure begins [depressed'

Mcnultysexgod · 07/01/2010 21:29

Hi MM, when will you start looking for work? That may be the key for you to feel settled and in control?

Francagoestohollywood · 07/01/2010 21:35

I'm reading it!
Btw, I put on 5 kilos in 3 weeks holiday the first time I visited cornwall. I was 14

AllQuietOnThePippisFront · 07/01/2010 21:41

LOL Same here with the 5 kg in Kent at 16, it's all these butter buisquits, milk choc digestive, Mr Kiplings apple pies and chips .

Hello girls.

Impressed with all you have done today MM. I bet the dds will be over the moon.

Off to read evil thread...

Mcnultysexgod · 07/01/2010 21:43

Oh, god, you have all gone now!

Francagoestohollywood · 07/01/2010 21:44

Pippi. What did it for me was toasted bread with salted butter... delicious. And "the special": a doughnut with icecream, whipped cream, choc sauce and noccioline... I could eat 3 in a row...

Penthesileia · 07/01/2010 22:01

Hey everyone.

Well done, MM! You've worked hard.

Actually, I felt a bit wimpish for not telling everyone to stop bitching, but I held back because I knew Bonsoir could hold her own. But it is interesting how people feel that she's a legitimate target - I honestly think it's because people are envious, to a certain degree; something about her manner too gets people's backs up.

Yet elsewhere posters complain about psycho SILs or similar or their exH's new wife feeding the kids frootshoots & Greggs' sausage rolls and no-one bats an eyelid. Indeed, people are saying "wow, she sounds awful; you are so NBU". Etc.

All because the posters who do so do it in the right kind of MN rhetoric - you know, with the smilies and the and the "in" words.

It can be remarkably cliquey at times. I don't like saying that, because - in and of itself it's a tired and passive aggressive cliche - but it's true sometimes.

I love you all, btw. Never seen any one of you behave like a psycho-hose-beast-bitch on any thread.

Penthesileia · 07/01/2010 22:04

Where is Rosa, btw?

SG - good luck! How exciting...! Thinking of you.

Mcnultysexgod · 07/01/2010 22:07

Hi Penthe, yes, she can hold her own that woman! I would have gone to bed in tears. [wimp]

I think it is mere envy too, by the end I felt sadder for the posters being vitriolic because it made me aware that they must feel truly unhappy in their lives to direct so much vitriol to one poster.

Mcnultysexgod · 07/01/2010 22:09

Oh, I wonder if Rosa is stuck in the south trying to get home. Nightmare.

Penthesileia · 07/01/2010 22:15

Hope Rosa is ok.

Yes, the projecting that went on was unreal. A psychoanalyst's dream.

Also - and this was bitchy of me, for sure - at one point a certain poster came on to dismiss the DSS' weight-gain as nothing, and that she herself had put on the same amount over the holidays, and would lose it in a month, as would they, Bonsoir is a maniac, etc. etc. This same poster elsewhere confesses to being 12 stone overweight! Thus leading me to doubt that she would indeed drop her 9 new lbs in a month... I had to resist pointing this little irony (in the Alanis Morissette sense of the word). That would have been MN suicide, for sure. [bitch]

Weirdly, even before it transpired that Bonsoir was deliberately trying to get a rise out of people out of curiosity, I was thinking that I would like to write an article about the dynamics of MN, etc.

Francagoestohollywood · 07/01/2010 22:26

Oh hello. I was thinking about rosa too. She's either stuck in the south west or in the canary islands. Hope she's ok.

Sput, remember to email me your address!

Yes, I totally agree with you all with the dynamics. I love it when it all descend into an us and them (the french) .
Penthe, yes, write an article!

Penthesileia · 07/01/2010 22:31

Ha. It's all fantasy: I need to write the articles I've been sitting on for years before spitting out some ill-formed thoughts about MN.

Hadn't realised Rosa was off to the Canaries. Sounds nice.

Penthesileia · 07/01/2010 22:32

PS. You have got me longing for "the special", btw, and I've never even eaten one.

Bitch.

Mcnultysexgod · 07/01/2010 22:34

Oh, please article. I do find it so interesting and revealing. Lol at fat poster, the level of self=deception we all fall into when writing is mind-boggling.

Penthesileia · 07/01/2010 22:39

True.

After all, I have confessed before to being a hairy-handed trucker named Dave.

Francagoestohollywood · 07/01/2010 22:40

I've reached the point where they tell her to send her 12 yr old step son to shop for under wear by himself. If it was a different thread many would get hysteric at the thought of a 12 yr old boy ALONR UNSUPERVISED in Paris

Ah. The special was divine. yOu need to go to penzance. It was sold by the games arcade.

Penthesileia · 07/01/2010 22:46

OK. I think I'm off now to watch something mind-numbing on the iPlayer. Or read. Or something. Bought "Everything is Illuminated" in the sale in Waterstones a few weeks back. I'd avoided buying it when it first came out because I am an old grouch and somehow resent spending my money on the newest flash-in-the-pan author. Grumble grumble, would rather buy the classics, etc. However, as it was cheap, I thought I'd give it a go - it could be my reading for when DD drops off in the pram and I'm left stranded in town with nothing to do; so it lurks, all dog-eared, in my handbag, for emergencies. Anyway, it's ok - and in parts extremely funny.

The alternative is something from the alarmingly large pile of "historical Jesus" books which DH is currently reading which is leaning at the side of our bed. Or the Cambridge Companion to Wittgenstein.

So, anyway. Notte, ragazze.

Sputnik · 07/01/2010 22:47

Yes amazing how frog bashing is always such a popular and legitimate sport. And amazing too the MN pack mentality.
Although Bonsoir wasn-t doing herself too many favours either really.
Compelling stuff!

Francagoestohollywood · 07/01/2010 22:47

'notte. Gosh I've never felt tempted to read Everything is illuminated. I think we have it somewhere. Tell me if I should give it a go.

Francagoestohollywood · 07/01/2010 22:48

Too compelling. Will I ever be able to go to bed now?

Sputnik · 07/01/2010 23:10

Ah so it was a wind up.
Sort of.
Probably
Good grief. Hopefully it-ll not go on to part 2.

Francagoestohollywood · 07/01/2010 23:11

Pheew. I'm done. Off to bed at last. Goodnight
