Following on from the thread that started about shoes and escalated to nearly 500 posts and a boden coat Trinty has emailed me back and we have finalised the list of things needed, if people have these things/have sent them could you post on here so I can amend the list and ensure Trinity doesnt get 345 sippy cups but no tights for dd2

Trinity's wish list
Tights - ages 9-10, 4-5/5-6, 2-3/3-4
socks - sizes 6, 8 and 10
sippy cups -
sheets - single/double or kingsize
bedding - single/double/kingsize
clothes 12/14
adult shoes - size 6,
baby clothes for DSS2's May arrival,
towels
forks
asda vouchers,
chick lit
John Grisham
Toys for the dog to chew :-)
Large saucepans (lots of people to feed in that house!!)
Beautiful Boden COat - sorted by fab mumsnetters

If anyone would like to donate funds (we have enough to get Trinity her new coat and a little bit spare) the paypal address is [email protected] and anything we collect now will be sent to Trinity as Asda vouchers to help with Christmas food/bits shop (I asked Trinity how she would prefer the funds spent and this was one of the ideas and she would really appreciate this)

Thankyou all!!

re the vouchers - if you purchase them via something like Lifestyle you would get more for your money - We have Lifestyle at our work, and you get +5% at asda and +4% at Sainsburys.

Is there an update anywhere as to anything that is still needed? I only just caught up with this.

stressed2007 · 04/11/2009 11:46

do they do tesco on there? what other ones do they do?

we will see if we can get ay feeback from Trinity - think she had a bit of a sad night yesterday (understandably) and may not be around at the mo but we will get back to you. Thanks

nickelbang · 04/11/2009 11:46

On our particular scheme, Morrissons is the only other supermarket as far as I can see - only 2% with them. There are other High st shops (incl M&S +5.5%, and Boots), but I'm assuming the most useful thing is food shopping rather than something like house of fraser.

Tescos might do it with someone else tho - at one of my previous workplaces certainly had a scheme with Tesco.

It's not a great deal extra and you might think it's not worth it, but it all helps, I guess.

If there's anything else needed, please do say. I think we all have a "there but for the grace of God" feeling.

Sticky. Thanks for this - will speak to eandh and one of us will get back to you. Do you have a contact email address please? Thanks

I have some new uniform but not big enough unfortunately.

You just need £180 people to send you a quid.

Do it?

pofacedandproud · 04/11/2009 13:00

Is that for a state school LadyEvenStar? That is naughty of them. Have you rung the school to see if they have any second hand uniform for sale? We're very hard up at present so can't help with cash but I remember your story about your ds, hope he will be happy in the new school

I'm going to sound a right cow now but I don't mean this horribly...

Is there any chance we could start a separate thread for Lady Evenstar? Just so she gets the attention/replies etc that she needs for her request and it doesn't get lost in TR's stuff.

Sorry if that's not coming across how I mean it - I really want both ladies to get help if they can [er...bitch emoticon?]

stressed2007 · 04/11/2009 13:09

Is this a serious request? Can he really not go to school without the uniform? And have you no way of raising it - if so I am prepared to contribute.

Iklboo · 04/11/2009 13:10

Ignore me - I just spotted the thread [duh]

pofacedandproud · 04/11/2009 13:11

That sounds great LadyE! Start another thread and we'll come on.

[We could probably raise a fair amount if we all did the quid thing]

Claire2301 · 04/11/2009 13:11

SLF - We have a scheme with our work but unfortunately not for tesco. Sainsbury 5%, Asda 5%, M &S 5% and Iceland 7.5%. I have emailed eandd but think trinity would prefer tesco.

claire2301 I think Asda was ok too. Eanh not about at the mo - think she may have gone to get tesco vouchers today but will discuss with her later. Thanks for the info

Claire2301 · 04/11/2009 13:19

No problem. eandd has my email if you need anything.

eandh · 04/11/2009 14:04

Emailed trinity yesterday and she has decided she would like £500 Tesco vouchers and then am going to trf rest of money to her directly she can then get the girls xmas presents or use it for whatever she may need. She def wants Tescos as the new one is opening on the 8th Dec and its alot closer to her than any other supermarket.

Had email from boden the vouchers and coat are being sent today so that TR will receive tomorrow (sent by special delivery) yey I do love Boden!
