Following on from the thread that started about shoes and escalated to nearly 500 posts and a boden coat Trinty has emailed me back and we have finalised the list of things needed, if people have these things/have sent them could you post on here so I can amend the list and ensure Trinity doesnt get 345 sippy cups but no tights for dd2

Trinity's wish list
Tights - ages 9-10, 4-5/5-6, 2-3/3-4
socks - sizes 6, 8 and 10
sippy cups -
sheets - single/double or kingsize
bedding - single/double/kingsize
clothes 12/14
adult shoes - size 6,
baby clothes for DSS2's May arrival,
towels
forks
asda vouchers,
chick lit
John Grisham
Toys for the dog to chew :-)
Large saucepans (lots of people to feed in that house!!)
Beautiful Boden COat - sorted by fab mumsnetters

If anyone would like to donate funds (we have enough to get Trinity her new coat and a little bit spare) the paypal address is [email protected] and anything we collect now will be sent to Trinity as Asda vouchers to help with Christmas food/bits shop (I asked Trinity how she would prefer the funds spent and this was one of the ideas and she would really appreciate this)

Thankyou all!!

Poledra if you want when they find out I will email you if it is a girl - if you want me to do this (I am doing this with sveral other mums). If so, please can you provide a contact email so I can let you know (think it will be in about 8 weeks). Thanks

BitOfFun · 02/11/2009 12:18

Oh I can't believe the mean-spiritedness of some people- luckily though they are far outweighed by the kind and generous MNers to want to do something, however small to help someone we know well and desperately want to support when she needs it.

Please don't let that person upset you too much Trinity- she doesn't represent much in the grand scheme of things. My parcel should have arrived by now- I hope you find it useful x

Poledra · 02/11/2009 12:18

Thanks Stressed. [email protected] will find me

PeedOffWithNits · 02/11/2009 12:22

I am a firm beleiver that what goes around comes around, which is why I have no hesitation giving away stuff on freecycle which others think i should sell - and YES, the extra money would be useful to us and i am not having a go at those who cannot afford to give away and rely on selling on second hand clothes etc to make ends meet. I am sending a parcel of clothes to trinitys DDs, and gladly pay the postage knowing that the gift is appreciated and may in some tiny tiny way ease their situation.

What i am trying to say is that in return, I have received, from the kindness of peoples hearts, some really nice things that we could not afford to buy/replace at the time. And I KNOW trinity would be the sort of person who would respond to this sort of situation with kindness and generosity - she is not some new poster only come here with tales of woe for attention/sympathy/financial gain!

those who do not approve of this thread - go away, thank you......and I hope you never have the experience of being in need and noone caring

this situation has made me see MN in a new light having been somewhat put off by sick trolls and the bitching - there are a lot of very kind people out there thinking of you trin, ignore the few morons

Lizzylou · 02/11/2009 12:22

Why when people post such bile do they always say "Name Changing Regular" here.
I'd actually prefer it if the person(s) being so bloody callous and mean were not regular posters tbh, doesn't feel nice that there are such cows on MN day in day out.

Trinity, people are helping you because they want to and because you mean a lot to them, don't get upset by a few wierdy cowardly comments.

MmeGuisingt · 02/11/2009 12:31

Trinity
Please do not feel bad about accepting the help offered here.

Noone has been cooerced or intimidated into giving.

I am happy to support one of our MN families in difficult times, and there can hardly be worse times than the loss of your husband, you DC's father.

Please, take the help offered, whether it be shoes, duvets, pot and pans or even some chocolate (which will be heading your way as soon as DD is back to school and I can get to the shops/post office). Do you prefer dark or milk choc btw?

I like to think that the deliveries of parcels to your door will bring a little smile to the faces of your DC, and your own too.

simpson · 02/11/2009 12:36

parcel has been sent today

tellmewhy · 02/11/2009 12:47

stressed2007 · 02/11/2009 13:12

Snowtiger thanks for the offer of clothes- Trinity is a 12-14 so right size. Eabdh was a bit concerned that Trinity was going to be deluged with stuff so if you don't mind please can I have a quick word with her and then will mail you tonight. Trinity if you come on here and see this and want to provide answer please do - I am tempted to say just send snowtiger but failing a post from Trinity would like to ask eandh first. Many thanks

Sallypuss · 02/11/2009 13:48

EandH just sent a gesture via Paypal.

Trinity Hope this all makes this Christmas a little easier financially even if it can't do it emotionally.

stressed2007 · 02/11/2009 14:04

Sallypuss - thank you for the contribution - I am sure Eandh will post the total on Wednesday

Restrainedrabbit · 02/11/2009 14:07

Trinity please keep posting and ignore, ignore, ignore the 2 posts. As a fellow widow (I hate that word) I am glad to help you, I remember all to well have overwhelming those early days are.

thefortbuilder · 02/11/2009 14:20

Trinity - I totally agree with everyone on here who has a heart. the two posters who don't agree with everything - really, must you share those thoughts with the rest of us?

Stressed2007 please email me at lysette parbhu at babiesinsheepsclothing dot com and i will put something in the post for trinity

also i'd like to know when trinity finds out the sex if that's ok

Fabster · 02/11/2009 14:21

bitmiffed and ikindofagree

You are both cowards. saying awful, bitchy things but not having the balls to say who you really are. I hope you feel better for getting that off your chest as you have upset a lot of people on here and devasted a woman who has been through one of the worst things you ever could. Just go away.

TR - CAT me please

stressed2007 · 02/11/2009 14:27

flickthelittlefireengine - details over in the next 10 mins. I will also add you to the grandchild update email when this happy news is available. thanks

blissa · 02/11/2009 14:31

Don't take any notice of those 2 posters Trinity, they are pathetic. I hope that if they are ever in need of support one day that they realise just how hurtful their comments have been.

I am still having a sort through of things

Take care xx

stressed2007 · 02/11/2009 14:35

blissa let me know if you need an address.

addictedtomn · 02/11/2009 14:39

trinity ignore theese two posters please. no one is holding a gun to anyones head here, trinity asked if anyone was selling shoes, she didnt ask for all theee donations, shes not a troll and lots of posters know her in RL and actually know day to day how shes coping.
i havent donated because i'm not in a position to, so i repete no one is forcing any one to do anything here.

there is such a thing a hide button, you will never stumble accross the thread again. do you really think that its appropriate to come on this thread and start makeing controvertial comments that will undoubtedly upset trinity. there is no need for it.

TRINITY please, please ignore them, you are doing no wrong, people want to help you because you are such a lovley kind and helpfull person. you are doing nothing wrong, please dont stop posting.

blissa · 02/11/2009 14:41
