Following on from the thread that started about shoes and escalated to nearly 500 posts and a boden coat Trinty has emailed me back and we have finalised the list of things needed, if people have these things/have sent them could you post on here so I can amend the list and ensure Trinity doesnt get 345 sippy cups but no tights for dd2

Trinity's wish list
Tights - ages 9-10, 4-5/5-6, 2-3/3-4
socks - sizes 6, 8 and 10
sippy cups -
sheets - single/double or kingsize
bedding - single/double/kingsize
clothes 12/14
adult shoes - size 6,
baby clothes for DSS2's May arrival,
towels
forks
asda vouchers,
chick lit
John Grisham
Toys for the dog to chew :-)
Large saucepans (lots of people to feed in that house!!)
Beautiful Boden COat - sorted by fab mumsnetters

If anyone would like to donate funds (we have enough to get Trinity her new coat and a little bit spare) the paypal address is [email protected] and anything we collect now will be sent to Trinity as Asda vouchers to help with Christmas food/bits shop (I asked Trinity how she would prefer the funds spent and this was one of the ideas and she would really appreciate this)

Thankyou all!!

Is it best to hang on a few days before sending my parcel, so TR doesn't get bombarded(sorry havent read the whole thread)

stressed2007 · 01/11/2009 22:51

I suspect with the postal strike things will take lots of different times to reach Trinity. Up to you I would just send when you are next able to - I would n't stagger sending parcels but up to you.

2shoeshissbangwhoosh · 01/11/2009 22:53

weirldy i was wondering how to send it, and man delivered a parcel at the moment(cue spooky mucsic) so I will send it as soon as I can, or I will forget.

stressed2007 · 01/11/2009 23:01

?? what does that mean..are you watching something on tv?

eandh · 02/11/2009 07:11

OMG I had a few hours off MN last night(thought DH deserved a bit of a conversation since I have had laptop in front of me since Thursday) and cannot believe that comment, Trinity asked for people to sell her shoes, wonderful people offered them to her and then she was inundated with emails so I offered to email people back for her, people were asking what TR needed she did not ask for a single thing until we persuaded her to tell us.

Another fab mumsnetter (sleepwhenidie) came up with the fantastic idea to treat TR to the boden coat and people wanted to donate and I am so so so amazed that between apart from postal donations (people can choose whetehr to post things nobody is forcng anyone) there is also the sum of around £430 which depending on the cost of the coat (and yes I have emailed Boden to ask for a discount not bothered if you think thats wrong)the rest will be sent to TR as Tesco vouchers to help feed her children and provide some Xmas pressies, think this Christams will be hard enough for them all, as TR said on one of her posts she is still waiting for tax credits to be sorted.

Can I say a huge thanks to stressed2007 for helping with emails/cats and some other mumsnetters who have emailed offering help with correspondance/conatacting companies and Boden.

Sorry this is garbled but had to type something (having spent hours coordinating it) but I am also trying to get dd1 ready for school, dd2 ready to go to my Mums and myself ready for work.

TR if you are reading this remember people wanted to help (and hoping your postie doesnt have a bad back or that your house has lots of steps )

Morning. Trinity, please ignore that negative comment and look at the volume of generosity and genuinely supportive comments and acts of the others. I read that post before going to bed, and woke up thinking of it...and it wasn't directed at me. Then decided it wasn't worth my consideration any further, as should you.

I have only been on Mumsnet for just over a week and have been so impressed with how wonderful people have been. Many of us don't know you, that doesn't matter. You sound lovely and deserve the help you have been offered.

Trinity I donated to your coat fund because it is the very least I could do. I have never experienced loss and it made me feel good to give.

There is nothing altruistic about giving it makes us all feel good to think we can make a little difference and perhaps make you smile for a moment.

stressed2007 · 02/11/2009 08:54

Is anyone able to link to the coat we are getting Trinity and the size/colour? Thanks

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 02/11/2009 08:59

BITMIFFED

Has anyone ever told you that if you can't say anything nice, dont say anything at all?

Sometimes it's better to keep your opinions to yourself, rather than airing them and hurting someone, a real-life-already-suffering-someone, not a faceless internet figure.

Trinity Please don't let the ignorance of ONE person make you feel bad. The views she/he/it expresses are NOT representative of the way the rest of us feel.

We want to help, and we will. Hugs.

honeybehappy · 02/11/2009 09:03

stressed2007 · 02/11/2009 09:11

honeybehappy (what a lovely name) please give me 5 mins - it will be with you x

puddytats · 02/11/2009 09:11

BITMIFFED. I hope to god i never have to go through what Trinity and her family have to go through. I hope to god you don't either. I do not know Trinity and i cannot even begin to imagine the hell she is going through at the moment. Trinity has NOT ASKED, mumsnet has OFFERED. I have given because i have children of my own and the thought of them having to go through what Trinitys are going through brings tears to my eyes and makes me think how incredibly lucky i am and how fragile life is.

honeybehappy · 02/11/2009 09:24

thanks stressed.

mummylin2495 · 02/11/2009 09:42

bitmiffed ,i didnt see your comment until just now, what a cowardly thing to do ,namechange to post something like that,we are helping trinity because we want to ,simple as that, what a bloody hard hearted person you must be,you should be really ashamed of yourself.trinity please ignore her and her comments.

PCPlumIsMyHomeboy · 02/11/2009 10:03
