Your most irritating Cbeebies programme

Love Cbeebies (not too often though, thank you), but some of their shows drive me mad. My most detested one of all times is 'Badger and Bodger', followed closely by 'Brum'. Come to think of it, there are quite a few more than annoy me but I'll stop here. Which ones do you hate?

And Bod? What happened to Bod?

Have to confess loving the Shiny Show and Brum.

codswallop · 27/06/2003 20:41

Tikka crappa

Finbar · 27/06/2003 21:12

Has Brum been relaunched? It certainly looks different when I watch it now with DS as opposed to a couple of years back with DD!
Didn't Toyah used to do the voiceover (she must have a v.v.good agent - she seems to be everywhere - Teletubbies was only the start of it!)

codswallop · 27/06/2003 21:14

Its ref;lecting grooved up Birmingham!

Finbar · 27/06/2003 21:21

Mmmm...lots of earnest young types in yellow dungarees - singing and dancing around the office blocks of b'ham!!:0

codswallop · 27/06/2003 21:22

My pals Sam has a pupil who ewas in a shell suit int he first series!1 Now grown up and embarassd.

I HATE the kids on Blues clues and their irritating estuary english

wickedstepmother · 27/06/2003 21:24

Thankfully my DD has not expressed any interest in kids programmes yet but I did catch 2 mins of Balamory, possibly the most awful, irritating programme ever made.

codswallop · 27/06/2003 21:25

archie=perv

Finbar · 27/06/2003 21:25

A clue! A CLUE!! Gor blimey missus!

I saw kevin in the flesh as it were at the Blue Clue Roadshow, and he was a bit of a lech (in a nice way!!) to all the Mums! Bless him- it made my day..I fairly blush now when I see him onthe TV!!

Finbar · 27/06/2003 21:26

Archie = wet lips UURRGGHH!

codswallop · 27/06/2003 21:26

they are all so prissed up and stage schooly. I think Kevin needs to get his eyes checked if he keeps missing them

codswallop · 27/06/2003 21:26

archie=clammy lingering hands!!

Finbar · 27/06/2003 21:27

codswallop · 27/06/2003 21:28

codswallop · 27/06/2003 21:29

Finbar · 27/06/2003 21:31

Yeah ! I did too! we danced to I'm Not In lOve -10cc and I was wearing my strawberry lipgloss that I had to sneak out of the house because my Mum would have been v.upset and given me one of her "you're growing up too quickly " chats!!
(have i digressed?!)

Finbar · 27/06/2003 21:32

Should we be on a chat thread?

rainbow · 09/09/2003 18:55

Zingalong, teletubbies, and rubadubbers. Quite like Balamory and Come outside.

Jenie · 09/09/2003 19:05

Zingalong - I hate it from start to finish

LutherTim · 21/09/2004 12:58

I felt compelled to join this board due to this discussion. For too long now I've travelled to work with CBeebies themesongs logged in my sleep deprived mind.
My hates include:
The fimbles for their pseudo-erotic flora and that hyperactive, brain-dead toad.
Zingalong, for the same reason as everybody else.
The new Josie Jump. Hah! They replace a cute, petite, well spoken lassie in a yellow jump suit (worked as well for her as Uma Thurman and Chiaki Kuriyama imho) and replace her with another woman who might have the same hair and jump suit but is a foot taller and has a voice an octave lower, and they think we won't notice?
That scary story telling woman in the Teletubbies who has eyes with all the motherly warmth of beelzebub and gifts children with empty cups.
The tweenies. Bub loves them but two 'boy tweenies' or whatever look like a nasty little bruiser and a whiney punk.

On the plus side:
The Toba/Balamory cast, aside from neo-Josie, all amuse me with their amphetamine fuelled antics.
Anybody who doesn't like Pui must have a heart of stone.
I've actually learned quite a lot of 'come outside': what other show on telly shows you how pencils and jelly are made?
Blue cow is a role model for independent thought.
The goodnight song actually works wonders with our little bundle of joy!

motherinferior · 21/09/2004 13:07

THere is another thread horrified at the new Balamory, LutherTim!

bundle · 21/09/2004 13:10

without a doubt, zingalong.
loving the new postman pat ones.

MUMINAMILLION · 21/09/2004 13:18

Booh bah!!! What is it meant to be? Were the writers on drugs at the time? And why are children strangely compelled to watch it?

Big cook, little cook. HATE IT! And no, big cook does NOTHING for me!

Finally, but by NO means least - Barney!!!!!! Cant stand those irritating, precocious, colgate glowing children.

woodpops · 21/09/2004 13:25

Tikker flaming Billa and zingalong. Ds seems to prefer nick junior lately. Have you ever watched nick junior at 9pm??? It's fab, Ivor the Engine, Bagpuss, King Rolo and of course Mr Ben.
