Not looked at them yet Worley. Why don't you comment on them then instead.

Had a lovely day today at the Southport Flower Show. Not as good as last year though. I'm off to bed. Knackered.

worley · 22/08/2009 18:46

i did comment on them, but something wrong with facebook, keeps coming up wioth an error box.

worley · 22/08/2009 19:08

ds2 has discovered his tickle me elmo he got for his first christmas. i know why it had been hid up for the past year at the bottom of the toychest now.
ds2 got a new bike today from my parents, i did ask them not to as he already has 2 bikes but they were meant to keep it at theirs. but we had tantrums and said he could bring it home, even when im telling him hes not allowed it home, they gave in. now i have 3 of his bikes in the shed, and mine and ds1's. i need an extension quick i think. might look into how much a conservatory is going to be

Warm and wet here. Yes I was thinking that too Macdog. I looked out at 8.30 and it was nearly dark. Leaves are starting to fall on our lawn.

Dd2 being Baptised on Saturday and still haven't baked a cake. I don't think I'm going to have time to ice it nicely but never mind. It's a vanilla cake so doesn't need 'aging'.

I've just witnessed dh screaming like a girl running up from the cellar. He found a frog, and got a little squeamish as it was jumping around in his hand.

worley · 23/08/2009 21:22

lol at dh screaming!!
yesterday, i was having a lovely soak in the bath and after washing my hair i let the plug out to see the biggest f'ing spider in the world, float past me in the bath!!! did i scream!!! it must have got in the bath behind me and was swimming about with out me knowing it. gross. i hat spiders, i can normally tolerate them to an extent but not in the bath with me. ergh!!!

Jennster · 23/08/2009 21:37

How about squashed inside the pillow you've had under your head? [shudder]

worley · 24/08/2009 08:43

ergh!

we have lovely blue skys here this morning, off to pick the dog up in a while. and i have to try to get ds2 an appt at the drs as he has a little lump on his winky. which isnt going away and looks like a pea stuck under the skin! oh the joys. the drs are engaged every time i try to ring though.

Macdog · 24/08/2009 09:01

YUK!!

dd got 'nuffles again today, plus a bit of a temp, so kept her off nursery today.

am sitting surveying the wreck that is my house wondering where exactly to start

OP posts:
VoodooBetterGetPacking · 24/08/2009 14:00

shouldnt be on here...should be packing..

trying to find a better nursery for dd, the one she has a place at my mum visited today and was unimpressed (ex-teacher)

plus work are now being a bit sniffy about my relocation, I will have to probably be demoted and have a BIG wage cut. Feckers.

its a bit more complex than that involving a horrid manager at another store who wants me to work for her but Im sure I have PTSD from working for her last time, that was my 1st branch before relocating to Manc, I still have nightmares about her from 7 years ago

worley · 24/08/2009 17:46

feckers! i think of father ted for some reason when you say that, I sat here for a few mins trying to work out what PTSD was. my brains on a go slow.
the blue sky has gone.
am now going to cook tea, sausages and something, i have a packet mix to use up i think. with rice?

worley · 24/08/2009 17:46

i talk crap dont i ?lol

Macdog · 24/08/2009 20:34

Shed (old kennel) needs a new roof - meh

all wet inside.

Mind you it's a brilliant excuse to batter in with a hammer and nails

OP posts:
VoodooBetterGetPacking · 24/08/2009 20:59

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

and we are beginnning a fight to have the new house's price reduced because of the shocking amount of work needs doing to it

I am a bit too stressed

Macdog · 25/08/2009 08:08

Not good Voods, hope it works out for you

dd back at nursery today - thank goodness!

i fell over last week walking back to the chalet while on holiday, as i had a fast asleep ds2 in my arms i coulodnt put my hands out to stop myself, i knew if i landed down on the path it was going to cause serious damage to ds2, so some how i managed to twsi as i fell and managed to fall on my back/side. i have had the most enormous bruise on my hip since last week and my shoulder has been agony. anyway, i have this lump over my hip now, which isnt attached to my hip but feels like its in the fat on my side! its the size of a couple of cocktail sausages and i can move it about (painfully) SO, any one else had a lump like that from a bruise before?? i dont know wether to go to the drs or not?

Jennster · 25/08/2009 22:31

Can't you scan it Worley

Macdog · 26/08/2009 08:15

Ouch, Worley!

Scan it and see {{sympathetic hugs}}

OP posts:
Jennster · 26/08/2009 09:01

Oops sorry. Didn't mean to sound unsympathetic. It's unlikely to be bone isn't it? I have a non painful lump on my back that I can move about. It's a bit crunchy, but I've had it for years so moving it isn't painful.

worley · 26/08/2009 10:07

no dont think its bone, if it is i would expect it to be more painfull than that! im not at work still till next week! i have a night duty bank holiday monday but dont fancy xraying my pelvis area, too much un-necessary radiation dose. i did have my little toe xrayed the other week, after i stubbed it, it wasnt broken but it still hurts like hell. even putting shoes on still makes it hurt, and bending my toes.
im a baby.

do dp's brother and sister inlaw anre in london this week with their 7mth old dd. they want to meet up tomorrow but im in to minds wether to go or not. after all the funeral stuff with mil and i know they have been recently trying to be friends again. dp is in cornwall on a pgl holiday thing with kids from his work so he cant go. they want dd1 and dd2 to meet their dd. so i would have to go on the train by meslf to london with my boys. im not sure i would be sane still by the time i arrived there. they have texted me this morning already to see what time i would arrive. but havnt texted back.

Macdog · 26/08/2009 10:25

Do what you feel is right Worley. Don't go just because you feel you should.

OP posts:
worley · 27/08/2009 09:55

well i havnt gone, i do feel bad for not going, but as dp said if it is that important to them seeing the boys, they would have given us a lot more notice they were coming and made the effort to come and see us. they only came here for a week (so they say) and went to liverpool to watch a football match and london. seems a long way to come from denver to the uk to watch a football match

off to watch the Gforce movie today i think. going to look up odeon times now.
looking forward to getting my student card so i can get student discount again!!

Macdog · 27/08/2009 17:49

A bit with that story Worley.

Have given in and put the heating on for an hour, was absolutely frozen earlier.
Also fell asleep on settee, and when I woke dd had painted her face with toothpaste - think Braveheart but cuter and more violent

OP posts:
worley · 27/08/2009 21:37

more violent !!
ds2 is currently petrified of cybermen, so i have a good behaviour threat at the moment. its cruel though i know! if he doesnt sit till the cybermen will knock at the door!

Macdog · 28/08/2009 08:00

Nice one Worley
