i have a new laptop mine decided to crash thursday just as i was polishing off my essay, taking it with it as i had onlt saved it to my file not my stick. so dp took it to the pc shop for me where they took the nhard drive out, linked it up somehow and managed to retrieve some of my files, so i had to try and write it up again and have it handed in for 1pm yesterday, i managed just in time, with a few tears and lots of swearing but its in. and finished filling application form in at 11.10pm last night (closing date was midnight last night)
so the old laptop needs a new motherboard they think, have to have some diagnostics test done on it, but it was only new in last sept after ds2 knocked juice all over it!.

i just ate a turkish delight and a crunchie, feel really bad now. but it was there and couldnt leave it alone. so its gone now and cant torment me now!

cant believe it is heavy rain showers today and we're meant to be riding the mini train for ds birthday and it only runs on sundays and this is the only sunday I have off work. like. ever.

We are now talking. Kids hey. Making a leaf mould bin today. Dug up some ill placed bamboo from garden. Split it ad am potting it up for when we make our patio inyo a tropical poncey courtyard. similar

We have a project in the local park called Sow'N Grow, where people with learning difficulties take on growing projects. They have phormiums and cannas at £4 each! Absolute bargains. Have bought one phormium, and might buy some more, pot them up nicely to help them on before we plant up 'courtyard'

had busy weekend - farmed dd out to my parents and went to see the Harry Potter film last night.
Today dh was working, so we had v. nice pub lunch when he finished and went to the Dr Who exhibition

thanks sneezy. i went to hand it in properly again and then realised i had left a word out of the title. now i just have to write uo some reflective practices to out in my continued proffesional development and then wait for and interview date hopefully. im trying not to get my hopes up for it.

i have tomorrow and weds off (my birthday on wedsgetting old) work thursday and then friday off again, we have this on in our town on thursday and friday. it either pelts down every year or is really hot, im hoping for the heat this year as im off the friday

jenn - courtyard sounds fab. I love hostas too but they just end up snail mincemeat. there is a big palm tree in our new house front garden

need big plans for new back garden. have no enthusiasm to do mine now as moving in 9 weeks.. cant be bothered..
dh told me he is friends with a landscape gardener from school, could be a handy contact..

we couldnt go on train in the end, but it was no biggie. kids were knackered enough just from having 12 family members round and having a lovely pub lunch.
had thomas tank cake and one little candle, bless!

macdog, you can cash your tesco vouchers in to see lazytown in glasgow, or tweenines, one or the other!!

i just cashed in vouchers to get 4 passes to longleat for a day, 4 entry tickets to wookey hole and a loads of vouchers for a theme park in somerset. so that should be 3 days of things to do on holiday for free
ds2 watching rainbow, im letting him stay awake in the hope it will give me a lay in in the morning.

got a nice stash of vouchers for local theme park, and vouchers to go to Highland Wildlife park again to see the Polar Bear when they move her from Edinburgh Zoo
