It really puts me off from reading the thread. I'll be honest, I find it offensive from a Christian point of view, knowing what it stands for. I couldn't care less about FFS, arse, etc. or worse (I'm no saint and use the words myself sometimes!).

Thank you. (Preparing myself for 'you can't be serious' etc etc...)

I can understand that OMG might be offensive to some. I never use it myself but it doesn't bother me as much as f*ck.

I was at some posh private school in Kensington - for a year!!! before I politely got asked to leave.

One of my peers used the expression 'Gosh'. I was so impressed by it, I've used it to this day. DDs do now, too. People are so unused to hearing it, even the slightest thing like brushing past people in the supermarket, and using the word, disarms them.

Anyhow, it's a word I really like.
