Ok, I am completely freaked out by what I have seen on Google Streetview...

Have just been looking at my house - no cars in the drive so we were obviously all out when the picture was taken.

Zooming in it looks as though there is a ghostly looking figure peering out of the window of dd2's bedroom. Dh says it is just a trick of the light but it's really spooked me.

Have put the picture on my profile - what do you think?

chippy's link just looks like an office worker to me. Obviously the overlaying of some of the photos has cocked up a bit but to say it's a victorian lady? The newsdesk must have been having a slow day...

I think it looks like a dog personally but if you don't have one then it's spooky.

The victorian woman one is weird. I see what you mean - it is definitely someone in victorian costume now I've enlarged the photo but the photos have been overlaid at different angles to the surroundings so it's hard to know how 'real' everything is anyway. I bet there's a lot of areas that have spoof shots. It will come to light soon that there's a competition set up by Googleview employees that you have to find the 'victorian woman', the 'ghost in the window' etc

That's supposed to be Mary Poppins. There's a Where's Wally figure and Paddington Bear somewhere too, probably loads of others, yes they were planted by Google, it was in the local paper recently.

It looks like a dark haired figure in Edwardian dress to me, leaning slightly forward at the waist and looking straight at the camera.

My rational side is asying trick of the light but it has also given me the creeps.

that picture gave me goosebumps LOL!! I'm sure there is a perfectly reasonable explanation and agree that a human mind tries to make "sense" of images etc but it certainly looks freaky!!!
