DH bought me a beautiful bangle - white and yellow gold one. He brought it into the hospital the morning after I had DD, bless him. He'd been to the jewellers the minute they opened that day.

No, but I didn't buy him anything either

We got beautiful babies out of it, enough presents for both of us

(would have liked a nice shiny piece of jewellery though )

bundle · 14/04/2005 18:53

lonelymum, my parents looked after the girls for us and we had a lovely time thanks, we did lots of touristy things, ate/drank a lot and rested tbh! i hadn't been before, had you?

SoupDragon · 14/04/2005 18:56

An eternity ring

Best present though was a king sized Kit Kat chuinky bar from my parents after DS2. I'd been glucose intolerant so couldnt have them before.

I have been to Paris once before - stayed with a friend who was there living with her French boyfriend - but that was nearly 20 years ago. This time was much more fun, even with children in tow.

Great way to spend your birthday don't you think? I usually hate my birthday, but this time, I was hardly aware of it!

LGJ · 14/04/2005 18:56

Pardon the ignorance, are PsychoFlame and psychomum5 related ??

Lonelymum · 14/04/2005 18:57

Psychoflame is an amalgam of two people LGJ one of whom is Pyschomum5.

LGJ · 14/04/2005 18:57

What ???

bundle · 14/04/2005 18:58

agree, lonelymum, i don't like a fuss either. had little bottles of champers on eurostar, it was a really relaxing trip. btw, have you ever considered changing your name?

Lonelymum · 14/04/2005 18:58

Psychomum and her friend, whose name escapes me, sometimes get together and post together as Pschoflame.

Lonelymum · 14/04/2005 18:59

Bundle, no I haven't. It suits who I am I'm afraid, but mainly, I don't want to change it because I feel people know who Lonelymum is but they wouldn't know me under my new name.

lavenderrr · 14/04/2005 19:01

no-not even flowers

bundle · 14/04/2005 19:01

hmmmmmmmmm. I'm sure there's much more to you than "loneliness". when enid became bigfatheiferenid when she was trying to lose weight, and i couldn't bear it, that that would be what people first thought of when they saw her name (so nagged her to change it back )

LGJ · 14/04/2005 19:02

Thanks LM

Thought Psychomum5 ,might have been a candidate for a nice white jacket that ties at the back

Lonelymum · 14/04/2005 19:03

Well I feel that my other nicer attributes will shine through if you take the time to know me. I know what you mean though: some people's names are rather off-putting I find.

bundle · 14/04/2005 19:04

what about lonelynomore?

LGJ · 14/04/2005 19:06

WhatabouttheartistformerlyknownasLONELYMUM

Lonelymum · 14/04/2005 19:06

But I am still lonely! I went to see ds2's teacher today (we have recently moved and ds2 is finding it hard to settle in his new school). I ended up talking to her for an hour, and half way through she decided it was me that was lonely and having difficulty making new friends, not my ds2!! The woman should be a counsellor rather than a teacher!

Whizzz · 14/04/2005 19:07
