Am I the only woman who does not have a clue when her next period is?

Beacuse dp thinks I am odd as I dont, I keep meaning to make a note or keep track but life gets in the way.

Have got lots of pregnancy symptoms - sore boobs, throwing up at random times and too strong smells and tiredness - but doubt that I am.

Dp has just said is your period late, to which I shrugged my shoulders.

He is now muttering about me as he mops the kictchen floor.

me neither twinset but i do when we are ttc!

I have no idea - i have at least 5 week cycle so that doesnt help

test twinset!

TWINSETinapeartree · 04/01/2009 21:02

What was odd is that I can remember feeling really low about 2/3 weeks ago, I posted on here and I can remember thinking that my period must be due as I always feel that way but there has been no period in the past 2 weeks I am certain of that.

Wilko's do preggers tests dead cheap, only a couple of quid I think.

Ambi · 04/01/2009 21:03

I always felt like this twinset, my cycle was ridiculous, every 2/3 months so when it happened, it happened.

TWINSETinapeartree · 04/01/2009 21:04

THere is not a wilkinsons for miles, I will leave it a weel and then test. I really do not think I am. There has been a lot od sex though but the little wrigglers have not been allowed entry

I never know when my period will arrive.

But then i have a very weird cycle i could have one every 28 days for 6mths then nothing for 6 months, then 35-45 cycle.

I have taken to just putting a circle around the date on the calandar as and when AF arrives.

expatinscotland · 04/01/2009 21:10

I had a baby 9 weeks ago. Not BF.

Pretty sure I ovulated a couple of days ago.

But otherwise, no idea when it will show up and if it never did and I went into menopause right now, I'd be pretty chuffed.

notcitrus · 04/01/2009 21:20

Poundland do pregnancy tests. No idea when my period will be - gave birth 4 months ago, but before getting pregnant hadn't had a period for 9 months.

Cue amusing consultation when I asked the GP when it would be due and she carefully explained about calculating due dates from last period etc, in words of one syllable. She blushed when I pointed out I clearly wasn't 9 months pregnant...

PippiCalzelunghe · 04/01/2009 21:21

I never know either. I have tried to keep track but forget and don;t care really.

lovelysongbirdie · 04/01/2009 21:24

i have no idea either, i have really long cycles though upto 50 days which is kinda odd

girlandboy · 04/01/2009 21:24

I always mark it on the calendar. Does that make me incredibly anal?

TWINSETinapeartree · 04/01/2009 21:26

No girlandboy it makes you emminently sensible.

AuraofDora · 04/01/2009 21:28

girlandboy · 04/01/2009 21:29

I just draw a little star on the day. Nothing special I'm afraid.

lovelysongbirdie · 04/01/2009 21:30

omg twinset sounds like your up the duff lovely

DisastrousNuclearAccident · 04/01/2009 21:31

I don't track it. I did before my first child...religously.

I haven't tracked it since. I just know when my body tells me I am due....I also tend to remember landmark events -like going away etc. to help.

TWINSETinapeartree · 04/01/2009 21:38

either up the duff or a crap cook loveltysongbirdie.

OP posts:
lovelysongbirdie · 04/01/2009 21:51

i have a feeling your up the duff
do you have any tests in?

AuraofDora · 04/01/2009 21:52

aw..that's sweet

i do a big red fuck off P when i remember!

TWINSETinapeartree · 04/01/2009 21:56

There is nothing sweet about my repeated vomiting, the smell of the floor cleaner set that one off.

Lol at the fuck off P.

I have no tests in, will give it another week and then if no period will buy one. You cant get a proper result until the first day of your period anyway can you?

OP posts:
TheFallenMadonna · 04/01/2009 21:58

And when is that then Twinset?

Do a test!

lovelysongbirdie · 04/01/2009 21:59

yes but for all you know you could be 2 weeks late for your period by now

oh uh hypersensitivity to smell.....
is a sure sign too

what did you have to eat today btw?

TWINSETinapeartree · 04/01/2009 22:02

Dp made me steak and kidney pie, with potatoes and veg.

I got up late so did not have lunch.

OP posts:
lovelysongbirdie · 04/01/2009 22:03

how late did you get up!

does sound like it was the food then

endymion · 04/01/2009 22:05

Am undercover, slightly, at the moment.

I had no idea when my period was due - a vague idea that should have been around christmas time. Then was upstairs folding washing and suddenly felt a bit bloated and mildly queasy. On NYE.

Had a jokey conversation with dh about it.

Rummaged in bathroom and found old test.

Pregnant.

Not actively trying. IN fact had recently kind of decided that 2 was enough.

Evidently not.....

In my defense, have in the last year had pretty erratic cycles and had rather given up predicting when period would arrive. Makes it a bit tricky when working out when to have nuchal scan. Think have got it right, but spent a huge amount of time staring at my diary and thinking "did I have my period when I was at Ikea? Or when we went out for that meal?" Haven't really got the foggiest. A little more precise on actual sex as have been knackered. But even then, it could have been any time in a two week period.

Test test test test test!
