...... do you realise we've been chatting now for almost 18months .

Berrie, thankyou for the very kind offer to mug your children. It's much appreciated .
Tbh the car only cost £150 last year so it's reached the end of it's days I'm afraid - we need to get another one.

I know the feeling though - I think I've done really well at the shops sometimes, but try as I might I can't get it below £100 a week. Must Try Harder.

Evening peeps sorry I've not been around much.

Wonder what Zeb is doing right now? Sounds like a fun weekend with ds - I'll bet he had a lovely time.Any further developments on the barn conversion?

Berrie, I'm of you and your new niece. Does she have hair? How is your boob? Is ds still enjoying school? Has he made lots of friends? Isn't it dh's birthday this month?

How did it go? How did it go?
Zeeeeeb? How did it go?

Oggs, yes dh is 40 on Friday. He doesn't want any fuss. In fact he is not very good at the moment and on his way to the Dr to get some betablockers for his anxiety chest pains.

Ds seems ok at school, we had our first parents evening but she didn't have a great deal to tell us. All I could think was...I say that to parents or, is this how I sound?

My tit is still manky thanks but i don't think about it much nowadays.

Er...not seen the bab again yet...think we'll go either Thursday night or the weekend. It sounds like if she is not asleep or feeding she cries...poor bro and wife.

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 14/10/2008 12:29

Berrie - that sounds like my DH - except he won't see the doc. Why are men such idiots? I love your description of parents evening Teachers, what do they know!

As for last night, wellll, short and sweet as we didn't meet up until quite late and he left quite early as he had to be up country v early this am. It wasn't quite as exciting as last time, but tbh, I think we were both knackered.

So, we went for a quick drink and then back to mine for a glass of wine, We were rather naughty but not very naughty ? jeans were kept on at all times, and like I say, he left quite early-ish.

And now I?m not seeing him again for ages and ages as he?s got (yet another!) busy week, followed by a week?s holiday in Tuscany ? all right for some!!!

However, I have my fingers crossed for when he gets back from hols. And that?s 2 weeks of slimfast before he has the possibility of seeing all my flabby bits! And he is still very very nice!!! SO we shall see.

Berrie · 14/10/2008 14:03

You minx you! I take it you were not wearing the spanx?
Does he have an ex wife or children?

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 14/10/2008 14:48

Nope. No baggage whatsoever. It does beg the question of why he's still single at 35, but I'll dig that out, don't you worry.

And no. No spanx.

oggsfrog · 14/10/2008 18:46

Ooh Zeb. How exciting . It would take more than 2 weeks of Slimfast to return me to a state in which I'd be happy for anyone other than dh to see me nekkid . I've regained almost all the sodding weight I lost...

What is it they say?..... I lost some weight....but damn, it found me again

Berrie, dd was very much like that. I spent hours and hours feeding her. There was only one type of holding which settled her - a cross between rocking side to side and a gentle bounce. I'm sure she'll settle in time. I always assumed it was because of the emergency caesarean.... she'd had no chance to get used to the idea of being out in the world. Hope they are all okay.
Poor dh.... mid-life crisis looming?
How's dd's potty training doing?

OP posts:
Berrie · 15/10/2008 07:14

Ha! It's not. We had a few more wet sofas the other week and I just can't be bothered to keep washing the covers.

Dh...no midlife crisis, just part of his depression. The betablockers don't stop the pain, just take the edge off. We are a right pair and we need to sort ourselves out. DH in particular is a heart attack on legs. My friends colleague died from one the other day at 46.

Sorry about the weight Oggs. Bummer.
Ds was a bugger of baby too. I've just been telling him. We used to put him in the maic chair (car seat) and rock him till he dropped off...for about half an hour until the next time...Dd was easy peasy though!

Zeb will the new man incentive work do you think? I couldn't even lose weight for my wedding...mind you was slimmer then anyway!

Berrie · 15/10/2008 07:30

How's the new car going Oggs? Did you get all your harvest in? We are having a second flush of runner beans which is nice. The french beans were rubbish but the purple sprouting broccoli has picked up after the caterpillar attack.

oggsfrog · 15/10/2008 10:31

New car is ace Berrie - much thirstier than the last one though .

Dh is clearing the garden this week and handed me a carrier bag of broad bean last night. I'm going to blanch them and remove the tough skins then freeze them.
We've got loads of carrots and cabbages, sprouts, parsnips and some curly kale we'd forgotten about. Still got some potatoes too.

I'm off to fae up to the horror that is dd's bedroom today. There will be tears....

Berrie · 15/10/2008 11:17

Oh dear...not at that stage yet.

Berrie · 15/10/2008 11:24

I've just painted the conservatory. Just a thinned down emulsion over the bare plaster. I reckon it'll need 2 more coats. It's very very white...Not sure about it really but we always make mistakes with colours. We chose a 'shade' of white to contrast with the brilliant white of the plastic but it just looks white to me. Wish I'd gone for pale yellow now...still could I suppose...doesn't go with red really though (Berrie stupidly thinks she will be able to accessorise with all the red things she saw in Ikea yesterday rather than all the odds, ends and hand me ons that she will in reality end up with)
Ma gave us an ikea sofa with a disgusting beige, khaki ish cover. You can get a delicious red cord cover in ikea for it but it costs £100 ish I can put a throw over it though which will go in the machine easier after dd has weed on it.
