JustDesserts · 23/01/2009 14:59

bollocks just slipped out once......

bad news from belgium. scary world.

JustDesserts · 23/01/2009 15:02

poor knee worley.
my mum has a bad knee, she fell on it three times. i got her clumsy gene I think.

she had Schlatters (sp?) disease in it when she was a teenager.

worley · 23/01/2009 15:29

osgood schlatter disease or something, common in very active teenage boys playing football a lot!

was just looking at the belgium thing. horrible. makes you wonder why they let him in when he just turned up to have a look around for his child. we have to make appts to look around our nursery and with the children as well.
and they let him in when his face was painted like the jokers!!!!
that would ring alarm bells to start with i think..
how the parents cope with that i dont know.

worley · 23/01/2009 15:30

ds2 is stuffing himself with caramel snack a jacks. he loves them. wish i did as much as he did!

TheTwaMacDugs · 23/01/2009 18:00

That Belgian attack is just horrific!
After Dunblane, I hoped that things like that would never happen again

Jennster · 23/01/2009 21:50

Worley get ye here Tesco discount code thread. Never ever pay full price for an online shop again, and if you don't have the minimum spend, make it up with really expensive stuff, checkout, then go back in and delete it all.

Jennster · 23/01/2009 21:51

I don't really want to read about what I think your talking about. I've not heard anything about it, but I suspect I'm a little too emotional to be sensible about it.

TheTwaMacDugs · 23/01/2009 23:42

Stay away from it, Jenn. It is truly bad

FrogsPorn · 24/01/2009 14:16

halloo to you
new name to keep ducking and diving, just got to wondering just exactly how many people are ghost-reading our thread, entranced by our daily wurblings?

FrogsPorn · 24/01/2009 14:18

off to look at a new one...carporn. my car is decidedly dangerous to drive now, weve been thinking of changing it for yonks (80s feelgood phrase!)
see what 3k will get me nowadays.........

Jennster · 26/01/2009 13:57

Hello folks. Just spent the whole morning hoovering, mopping, cleaning and cooking. My back is killing now. I had a nap yesterday afternoon, and then fell asleep after telling dd some stories last night. I basically slept from 8.30 to 7 this morning. Bloody hell did I need it!

IceCreamy · 26/01/2009 14:42

Jenn....step away from the cleaning!
you make me look so lazy bad!
so....nail biting weekend, sister had a scare and had to go into hosp to get baby monitored, she is 35wks now, turned out to be strained stomach ligaments. Phew!

turns ojut shed been hanging curtains and lampshades. Will the pregnant people stop doing things!!!

anyhoo..think we are going to get a

knackered old ford focus. least I will have some boot space to call my own!! currently have a teeny tiny car which is such a pain to fit everything into. My car is 10yrs old this year!

Jennster · 26/01/2009 16:05

Yes but I still live in a midden. And a cold one at that. I've cleaned out the log burner, but can't use it properly until we have fire guards.

Jennster · 26/01/2009 16:23

Had a pretty horrid weekend though. Last weekend dh got a fab lie in to 8.30 as I got up with the kids, got them breakfasted, dressed etc and he didn't hear a thing. I said could I have next saturday please? So Saturday morning comes and I'm up at 6.15. We had a massive argument and we realised I'm so knackered, we don't talk properly. He's going to a gig next Friday night and staying over at his friend's house in Manchester. So I had to cancel my facial appointment and am not going to get my cut price offer.

worley · 26/01/2009 18:58

why dont we all just go on a girlie weekend with no children?????
my car is 10 this year too, but i love it and not going to swap it till a few more years and no more pushchairs. im loving its heated seats in the morning at the moment. i have a volvo estate but want an audi a3 maybe. or even the a3 estate... still have to get 2 boys in the back!

worley · 26/01/2009 19:01

got all the way to work this morning, sitting at the traffics lights to go in the hospital and ds2 starts to cough and is then sick every where, so i had to sit in the car park, ring them up and say im here but going home again as ds2 is sick. so went home got him all changed and went back to work. he is fine i think he was only sick as he has a cough and he brought some grotty stuff up [erghface]

IceCreamy · 27/01/2009 14:07

oh how delightful are children.

poor Jenn! typical selfish husband behaviour. they just dont get it. last weekend dh didnt change 1 of ds nappies, not ONE.

he really winds me up when hed rather watch football than do something with the kids, he cant take his eyes off it.

but generally hes ok!

have you seen the Haven holidays tv ad? the 'dad' character is GORgeous, like a young Alec Baldwin. going to start a thread see if anyone else has noticed him..
