the rain is heavy and hard, and the road now looks like a river, but the worst is that DH just shouted to me to come look out the back door........the rain is lapping the bottom of the door

and there is a leak in the kitchen......

psycho, my dh is out in th garden syphoning water from our pond ,it had nearly reached the top ,the next downpour and we would of had fish flapping about in the garden ! dont thinkthe forecast for us is quite so bad today .i hope not anyway.All the water in our garden has now gone for now.I hope you dont get too much water in your conservatory.

I just went and looked out at next doors pond mummylin. they have a syphon thingy set up too.....theirs is also at the very top!!

we really should do coffee at some point too

psycho the parade starts at half five and because of the rain we are not sure if it is going to happen I feel for the kids as they have put so much effort into their costumes. However it has not rained here since lunch time, infact when it was raining dd said I hope that lady in Bournemouth is not too wet- she meant you

If the rain stops it should be OK, we are to phone just before five for a decision. It keeps stopping and starting.

It has not stopped raining here since 11 o'clock last night. Well, maybe for the odd 5 minutes or so but that's all. I swear, if we flood again I am emigrating.

Last year we had fish swimming in the street that had floated out of all the garden ponds.

Actually last night was escorted in packs of ten cars, through Milbourne St Andrew, by a kindly police car, the water was so bad.

wewill have to take shelter at castlepoint as its on highter ground,if we pick asda,s there will be plenty to eat and drink !!!

asda sounds like a plan. there is Mcdonalds too, so we even have someone to cook for us!

and we can get a change a clothes there too !
