It's blizzarding here and the school is closed. Due to have about 5 cms. Glad dh went food shopping tonight and I got a couple of videos from the library yesterday. ds is well chuffed. dh gone to work which is 20 miles away but he's got a big truck so should be OK.

About three or more inches of snow here. This morning we were anxiously waiting news that the School would be closed on the radio, DS1's School was never mentioned. Then when we got to the School we were all told to go back home, School closed. DH took both DSs sledging and DS1 wants to go again this afternoon. Fun, fun, fun!

Loads of snow here and the children are on their second Snow Day holiday.

Steppy1 · 23/02/2005 16:20

wish we had more snow... (sad) keeps coming then drying out within a few hours, then snowing again ('tis actively snowing as we "speak") Determined to take my two little darling sledging (Father Xmas even bought them one in December) but still no opportunity. PLEASE SHIP TRUCK LOADS TO WILTSHIRE

MrsFROSTgetful · 23/02/2005 16:25

i'm in wiltshire too....and have 3 boys- the eldest is 11....and we've had a sledge since he was 2.....yet to date he's not had more than 2 or 3" of snow to use it on!!!!

'All' i want is enough so that when they walk on it they can't see the path or grass below!!!

Steppy1 · 23/02/2005 16:37

yes, so just remember all of you that have had your second day of snow holiday and are having great fun, that in Wiltshire we've had but a few centimetres of soggy effort snow

Demented · 23/02/2005 19:40

Still snowing here, just been to ASDA along with umpteen other mad women to panic buy, which means it will probably all be gone in the morning.

SeaShells · 23/02/2005 19:42

Just found out, DS's school is shutting for the rest of the week as the teachers are all snowed in, god knows where they all live, there's no snow here at all!

Hulababy · 23/02/2005 19:43

Well Sheffield (where I live) and Doncaster (where I work) have had snow on and off all day. But it isn't really setling, at least wheer I am. And all the roads are clear and traffic free flowing.

I'm in SE London, they promised us snow! we've had flurries and a little settled the other day but not enough for dk's to go and play in it!

Goldfish · 24/02/2005 20:18

No snow here, but we are by the coast. Apparently it was worse inland.

toomanypushchairs · 24/02/2005 22:33

can't believe it, it's snowing now, the most that has settled so far!

FairyMum · 24/02/2005 22:35

I know, I know...can't believe DH is driving a car in this weather. Silly sod!

biglips · 24/02/2005 22:36

NO ITS NOT AND ITS NOT FAIR [ANGRY]!!!!

Only had little snow from last night

biglips · 24/02/2005 22:37

oops!

biglips · 24/02/2005 22:37

oops!

KBear · 24/02/2005 22:37

If it doesn't snow enough for a snowman my children will hate me - all week I've been saying that it's going to snow and it all melted by morning. The weather forecast yesterday for us was heavy snow - woke up this morning - none. I was pleased, DD moody!!

HunkerMunker · 24/02/2005 22:37

West London. According to teletext, 60% chance of snow today, 40% tonight. London...light sleet. Nice! Is there a more depressing 'weather-stuff' than sleet? Surely it's just cold drizzle?

biglips · 24/02/2005 23:07

ive also looked on my teletext (North West) and its 70% snow showers tonight and 80% snow tmrw (im still waiting)

eidsvold · 25/02/2005 04:33

not for me again - damn when am I going to get snow (ha,ha,ha) What about you suzy - you getting any yet?!?!?

If it makes you feel better - despite the 30 degree or plus days we are having here - where I used to live in the UK has been having -3 - 1 degree days... and snow.... BUT i am thinking of you all when we go to the beach tomorrow
