OK, my childrern came home from school yesterday with a Christmas quiz. Of 100 questions, I only know the answer to about 40 so I would like some help please (and I hope there are no other parents from the school on Mumsnet!)

I can't post all 60 remaining questions here now, but wonder how well you will get on with these to start with:

OMG, I've just looked up Spiceworld the Movie on Amazon and now Amazon will think I am interested in this and recommend pre-teen popular music stuff to me every time I log on. But good news, the movie is not in stock and they recommend you buy it second-hand!

Last question here. One question asks: "Who was the first British monarch to abdicate in the 19th century?" Now I have a degree in history and as far as I am concerned, no monarch abdicated in the 19th century. George III died in 1820, George IV died in 1830, William IV died in 1837 and Victoria saw the century out. (Shameless showing off now). I think the questioner meant the 20th century (Edward VIII, 1936). Do all the rest of you esteemed MNers agree?
