Help me name my puppy!

We have had one of these threads recently I know, but it is my turn to need help this time! Female, silver, standard poodle puppy. Delicious little thing. Has to be two syllables, and not an "oo" sound (eg not Suki) because that is the sound of my other dogs name and it needs to sound different when shouted over long distances...

Any ideas?

Right, the short short list turned into
Tosca, Kandy and Lola, each of which we could easily have chosen. And all suggested on this thread, so thank you! But there can only be one winner, and so I'd like to announce that the winner is....

Kandy!
The children like it because candies are sweeties and the puppy is sweet.
I like it because Kandy is a town in Sri Lanka where we went on our honeymoon.
DH likes it because he has watched an England/SriLanka test match in Kandy and "I bet no one else has a dog named after a test cricket ground" !!

And it is a suitably silly and flouncy name for a poodle.

Thank you all for your help and wonderful ideas!

I still like the name Twatshank, although some arent so keen.

helsi · 04/12/2004 12:29

I know the name has been chosen but I really like Defur as a name (D for Dog)- get it?!!!!

Also Cefur (C for Cat)

F-in (for a fish as in "Fin fish" also a fish has a fin)

I must get out more - sorry I will go now!!!

spacedonkey · 04/12/2004 12:30

I like the name knackers (although perhaps not appropriate for a bitch).

SilentBite · 04/12/2004 14:31

great name! I love Kandy too (the place that is).

princessinapeartree · 05/12/2004 18:53

we got our puppy yesterday. dd1 has called her Star. one accident in the hallway, rest of the time she has been bounding round my garden, or alseep on her bed.

she is chewing a lot. must invest in some mroe chew things for her, as she has taken a fancy to my dd's shoes and clothes!!

GoodKingWestCountryLass · 05/12/2004 19:29
