Help me name my puppy!

We have had one of these threads recently I know, but it is my turn to need help this time! Female, silver, standard poodle puppy. Delicious little thing. Has to be two syllables, and not an "oo" sound (eg not Suki) because that is the sound of my other dogs name and it needs to sound different when shouted over long distances...

Any ideas?

Does it need to "go" with the other dog's name?

I like old woman names
Bunty
Mabel
Gertie
Florence
but if your other one's called Foofoo or something that's no help.

this is no help at all but I just wanted to share two of the worst (IMO) dog names I've heard: Shandy and Sherry (dh's parents poodles when he was little), I can't tell him how tacky I think they sound as he used to love the dogs but OMG are they bad!!!!!

How about Mitzy for your puppy?

SilentBite · 02/12/2004 20:22

Holly (as it is near xmas)
Polly
Molly

bit of a theme here methinks...

I love standard poodles. They are such gentle, intelligent, dignified dogs.

Beat me to it GG - I thought of Peggy too! Strangely enough, I was only thinking the other day that if we ever had a female dog we'd call her Peggy!

JoolsTide · 02/12/2004 23:51

Parmesan? - can't for the life of me think why - for some reason I thought of changing my MN name to this - I must be losing it

No... Tia in that I heard it twice the other day and love it (once for a beautiful puppy and one for an equally gorgeous one year old girl).
