got a call from nursery this afternoon, to warn me that ds2 had been scratched on his face by another child, poor baby has lots of them where the other child and got his/her whole hand and pulled them right over both cheeks, got his neck and his ear. i was not happy, and when i picked him up i wanted to cry he looks a right state. they said he didnt make a fuss but was more interested in carrying on playing. they are going to inform the parents and have an investigation as to why they didnt stop it quicker. but it doesnt help thats its done now. the deputy manager said the child is know to scratch a lot of children, so why werent they watching closer!!! its no good telling them off as they dont really understand at 22 months, do they?

things are never simple. and to top it off he was only doing an extra afternoon as ironicly i went to a child protection/ non-accidental injury lecture this afternoon!! i dont dare take him to the health visitor tomorrow!!

God that's not great Worley. Hope they fade soon. I wouldn't worry though if he isn't. DS's cheeks have just faded from the bite that dd inflicted on him the other day. I thought it would be tender and make him cross but it hasn't.

VoodooCoconut · 12/03/2008 19:12

VoodooCoconut · 12/03/2008 19:13

Longines are a fab watch brand...is it all steel with an oblong face and blue dial? that one is beautiful...or did he go mad and get you a diamond set one?

worley · 12/03/2008 20:25

im going to go look up logines now as i admit i havnt heard of them about 4 years ago i brought dp a bit chunky gshock thing that recharges itself (im being thick and cant remeber whats its called when its solar powered!!)and has all boys gadget things on, that cost me a small fortune, i got it off the net and not seen them in the shops anywhere. ds2 loves to wear it as an arm band!!!

we had lots of rain and the wind has beenn really strong here. last night i didnt get much sleep, all i could hear was the phone line attached to next doors barge board swinging about, i was expecting to get up and it was going to be swingin about the road, that happend to a few doors last year and the police had to close our road while they waited for the engineer to sort it out

No diamonds! They're unethical anyway.

jennster · 12/03/2008 22:09

All steel, oblong face but not blue. No date either.

Macdog · 13/03/2008 18:42

Well we had a great time yesterday. It was out 3rd wedding anniversary and our big night out in Glasgow.
Hotel was good (and at £55 for double bed & breakfast it was a steal) and we also had use of their leisure complex
We went for Italian meal then into the City to see Dara O'Briain.
I have rarely (if ever) laughed so hard for so long. Tears were streaming down my face!!!

Such a good night!!

jennster · 13/03/2008 19:56

Worley, dh and I have been together for 12 years in October and our 3rd wedding anniversary is June. Dh proposed years and years before the issue was forced. I said to him that I absolutely wasn't going to have a baby without being married and that I wasn't on the pill! (I bought him a packet of condoms...) The fact the wedding was organised in 4 weeks was the best bit. Dh didn't get the chance to get stagefright.

Macdog · 14/03/2008 18:00

Bet on Neptune Collonges in the big race, came 3rd @ 22/1. Only had a £1 EW, but got £5.50 back so in credit

Macdog · 14/03/2008 18:01

It's such great news about Shannon being found Sky news story

jennster · 14/03/2008 21:35

Yes. So nice to hear she is alive. Hope her ordeal wasn't too traumatic.

I only bet on the National, have driven through the course many times, but never actually been.

Naff all on TV tonight.

Macdog · 16/03/2008 19:15

Another fabby day at Culzean!
dd ran herself to standstill again
Video proof on FB, as always!!

Hope you are all well, x

jennster · 16/03/2008 21:51

Oh dear. DD had a temperature of 103F (40C) on and off all weekend. She's ok other than that, but definitely off colour. Went in to check on her just before and she was asleep standing up in her cot poor thing.

I've drunk far too much, having had my parents over for lunch. Roast pork. Outdoor reared with the most amazing crackling.

Hmm If I have a third child in 9 months you heard it here first. DH very happy this weekend. DS is nearly 8 months old and ahem this was the first second and third time since! Can't believe I've just admitted that, but hey you can keep a secret right?

worley · 16/03/2008 22:09

ds1 has been hot hot hot this weekend too. i dobnt have a thermometer but he was burning up. so lots of squash and calpol. he has the meltlets now, its so much easier than a sticky bottle.
