worley · 06/03/2008 21:56

hi all
with ds2 we have to sit hjhim on our laps and physically hold him still for a minute, he hates having to sit still. he screams and tries to lean forward and bite us but gives up when we dont let go and just sobs, then when hes calmed we let him down again and say, now no biting, or he has taken to trying to pull ds1's hair out of his head, and he can get 2 good handfulls!

touchwood hes been ok for a few days or so.

does she still have naps? just wondering.. a mum at nursery was telling me that her ds doesnt have naps anymore and hes 22months,. my ds2 has a 2 hour nap in the afternoon and still goes to sleep at 7. hes horrid if he doesnt get his full nap.

i can always remember my cousin telling me how she hated her second ds as he was such a little bugger, and sometimes i know where she was coming from, at the time when i only had ds1 (who has always been as good as gold) i couldnt believe she had said it, but she loves him really. her first ds1 is the same age as my ds1 and they were always so good, but our ds2's are the same and can be really naughty!!

ds2 loves Lazy Town and get excited when its on tv. theres a girl at nursery who has an in the night garden bag and it takes us about 5 mins to get past it when itas on her peg, he has to stand and stare at it!!! he foesnt go anywhere with out his igglepiggle. its not blue anymore, its grubby grey!! it went all funny when i tried to wash it though

Hmm I've done the sitting on the knee thing (hands contained and basically being ignored) but she loves sitting on my knee.... I swear I'm not depriving her of love. Honest.

Don't think she has too long a nap at nursery, but that has nothing to do with the fact they were both sitting on our bed first thing this morning. She is a little terror when she hasn't slept, but first thing in the morning? 4/5 months ago she was having 1 hour in the morning and 2 hours in the afternoon. Now she has abouit 1 hour

Macdog · 07/03/2008 18:31

I pick dd up, say "NO" in a forceful tone, plonk her in the hall and walk away to ignore her for a few seconds and take a deep breath. Mind you she doesn't bite (yet). Same method I used on dogs .

jennster · 07/03/2008 20:19

Great, now she has started pinching. Bloody hurts. 2 nights on the trot without a story. Can only do that punishment close to bedtime though, otherwise she will have forgotten and just get upset at bedtime.

worley · 07/03/2008 21:02

at least she hasnt asked to go to a "linkin park gig" like ds1 has done today!!! and hes only 9

OMG! Nu Metal. I was into Metallica, Alice in Chains and Rage Against the Machine myself... But not at 9.

jennster · 07/03/2008 22:26

Really looking forward to tomorrow night. My sister is bringing her new boyfriend. Can't wait for dd to see him. I have a sneaking suspicion she will call him the old boyfriend's name.

(sorry sassenachs, but we didn't have much to cheer this season )

Mind you dd was overcome by a bout of projectile vomiting in the car going to PIL Had to call them to run a bath while dh scooted home for clean clothes. So it was nice to have happy sporting day

Macdog · 09/03/2008 09:22

Well dd much chirpier today.
dh and I were so knackered that the celebratory Cava/beer never got drunk (and neither did we!! )
We were in bed the back of 10

jennster · 09/03/2008 11:29

Macdog · 11/03/2008 18:48

Had lovely day at the Zoo today. dd walked for blimmin' MILES!!!
She had such good fun roaring at the lions and tigers, and thought the penguins were performing just for her!!!

VoodooCoconut · 11/03/2008 20:33

viewing was interesting to say the least...they said bedroom three would be their 'dressing room' good lordy.
est agent rang today and said they re going to buy a house in Urmston as better train links, but we have another viewing now on Sunday...better luck this time hopefully...

had 20 week scan and found out sex! keeping it secret though, except from family so you'll all have to wait and see Mwahhh-Hahhh-Hahhhhhhhhhh!!!! [evil laugh]

have to have another scan as little sausage wouldnt move thumb out of its mouth for them to check no cleft palate...got to go back start April. everything else looked fine though, it swallowed loads of fluid as we were watching!! scanner said we'd literally see the stomach fill up now but I couldnt see where she meant. Lovely experience though cant believe nukber two will be here in approx 19weeks......

worley · 11/03/2008 21:12

well, friday night (4am) we got woken by hearing ds1 being sick on the landing, he didnt make it to the bathroom, so he was in PJ's allday. i was sick sunday night, then i got up monday morning, had a quick bath and got downstairs. stood on kitchen and felt a dripping on my head, i looked up to see water running down the light fixing on the ceiling and coming throught the ceiling!!!!
the electrics had all tripped out and i had to put a row of saucpans out to catch all the water.

it turned out that all the winds sun night had dislodged the outside down pipe and pulled it out, so when i pulled the plug out, the water came through the ceiling instead of the downpipe and outside.

i can now stand in the kitchen and see what people are up to in the bathroom!!! thankgod its a small kitchen. my dads an electrician and dp did some plumming stuff when he did plant room training so between them they fixed it all. just need a new ceiling now!!

30 Worley. I had about 30 people for a party at my house too (some pictures on facebook). Sorry about your bathroom. Did you really have such bad weather? It's not been great here, but no where near as bad as predicted.

Bad luck Voodoo about the viewing. Told you it would pick up March time though.

My sister bought me a lovely silver bracelet from Links, and DH bought me a lovely Longines watch. I have obviously been so very good this year.
