Well ds still 'under the weather'. Maybe he knows I'm galavanting to London without him this weekend! Very clingy and just not 100%

Re career change, we've decided that yes actually we'd like a third child so having lots of fun sorting that out . I have an open day for the dentistry course at UCLAN next Wednesday and so will get a feel for that. Ideally I will start in Sept 2010. Who knows though. I only got a 2:2, when they ask for a 2:1, but then I'm not a wet behind the ears graduate who will sod off out of Lancashire within a few years. DH is self employed with his business, so we are here for the long run.

I can't wait though. I'm off to Taste London this weekend. 2 whole nights without the children. DD staying with sil in Leicester and dh looking after ds. I've stored enough expressed milk (just about) for him, so hopefully he will be ok. Maybe he will have learnt how to sleep through the night by the time I get back????? Well I live in hope. I could do with dropping the night time feed to get ovulation started. 26 months of amennorhoea and counting

JennsterSlugSlayer · 17/06/2008 21:35

fruit nut and chocolate is just wrong by the way

JennsterSlugSlayer · 17/06/2008 21:35

And I promise I don't smell

JennsterSlugSlayer · 17/06/2008 21:36

Well not often anyway.

worley · 17/06/2008 22:48

funny you shoul mention that fruit and nut toblerone, i saw it in my local londis (or the green shop as ds1 calls it) a couple of days ago and oh i may as well try it, and it was lush!! all for 38p. but they didnt habve it in tescos only the 99p bar, so i had to have that instead.

went to bed an hour ago and cant sleep so got up and found dp's laptop so now in bed again on here. i started yawning as soon as i turned it on.

i had a 2 hour sleep with ds2 after we picked ds1 up from school this afternoon, so he have needed it to, im going to call in sick for work tomorrow again, im aching all over and (tmi ahead alert)have so much snot runing down the back of my throat its making me gag and throw up. (what a waste of that toblerone!!!)im going to go back to quaks tomorrow im convinving myself there is something underlyiong making me ill, i have now had 4 lots of antibitics this year and 3 lots of steroids and i onlt finished this last lots of a/bs today and i have green crap again.

i think i need a nice long holiday with no dc, dp or work....can i come join you nin london jenn???

In fact toblerone is just plain wrong.

WhipMeIndiana · 18/06/2008 14:51

yum yum yum yummy yummy

well....I was fully intending to whack dd into a pair of pants today and give potty training a bash....

then it turned out freezing cold and rainy and she has developed an awesome chesty cough
...maybe not...

I am going to do it next week. Ive started a thread for tips, howabout you 3? what works/doesnt?

worley · 18/06/2008 15:50

noooo, toblerone is the best thing about going on aeroplanes!! im like joey in the friends episode when i think it was pheboe(?spl) gave him

i now know all about come outside, ds2 loves pippin and gets all excited, he is standing here calling her as if shes going to come to him!! AND he loves the wonder pets, or won pet as he calls it, there were tears this morning when it finished. and he is still in love with lazytown.
he is now ramraiding his thomas sit on /ride on toy into the back gate, as i wont let him out in the big garden byhimself!! and im still feeling like crap so luckily i can see what hes doing while sitting on the setee with the back door wide open.

OP posts:
worley · 18/06/2008 15:53

im going to hold off the potty training as yet, ds2 knows when he is about to wee wee but only for about a second then he looks down and watches!! then he says oh dear and runs to the kitchen to get somethiing to mop it up with out of the washing basket (while its warm i let him run round with out a nappy on, and we have laminate floor so its easy to clean!)
ds1 was about 2years 8 months when i started him, but it will be winter when ds2 is that age,

is your dd 2 yet whipme? shes a little older than ds2 isnt she? he will be on the 30th june

just put tea in the oven, chicken & mozarella pasta bake. i love these colmans packet mixes, you can actually make a decent meal thats quite cheap, and my son actually eats. we tried the hunters chicken last week and they all loved it, its chicken, wrapped in bacon cooked in a cheesy sauce. it was lush.

Not tried potty training yet, waiting for a run of good weather and a break from Toddlers group.
Can't even think about it just now!

Can't think of Toblerone without remembering every joke Billy Connolly has done about them

WhipMeIndiana · 18/06/2008 19:22

hmmm are you being rude about toblerone? Ive heard it makes for an interesting sex toy...
Jenn!! Listen up!!

JennsterSlugSlayer · 18/06/2008 21:56

For potty training, we did it for 2 weeks at the beginning of April, and then dd got d&v and back she went in nappies for the duration. When she was better, she didn't really get it. Any way, we carried on just morning and night sitting her on the potty. We started again when the weather was nice 3 weeks ago and after 3 days of the odd accident she's done it aged 2 years and 5 months. She will ask for the potty or sit on the toilet. We've been out and about and been absolutely brilliant about going to the loo. The only accidents she's had were when she was asking and we weren't listening.

Good luck

JennsterSlugSlayer · 18/06/2008 21:58

Give me jaffacakes any day.

Sex toy?

UberTrollop · 19/06/2008 09:57

Can't believe you're not familiar with the Toblerone jokes
I've been trawling Youtube, but I can't find them

As well as the sex toy one, there's the one about how yodelling was invented by a guy trying to eat between the 'mountains'

It's the law up here that you must be able to quote Billy Connolly at length
one of my favourites!!

UberTrollop · 19/06/2008 10:01

Anyhoo, wish me luck. Chairing my first AGM tonight for Toddlers Group. Bit scared!

New slide arrived, but safety mats will be 4-6 weeks to get here , luckily we have loads of mats that we can bodge together.

had the usual moans off people, ie "thought it'd be bigger" - IT'S FOR THE UNDER-3'S FFS

Ladies Night tomorrow - Yeehaw!!!!!!

worley · 19/06/2008 15:49

She stands on the doorstep and bellows
"In. The. HO-O-O-OWSE!!!"

no idea where she gets it........

WhipMeIndiana · 19/06/2008 19:12

dd made me smile to today with 'birdie hence' at a robin sitting on the fence. Shakespearean, almost!

good luck UT knock em dead

JennsterSlugSlayer · 19/06/2008 21:25
