Feeling a bit better today. dd away to my mum's for the day.
Yesterday was a bit scary, my throat started to close up and I couldn't swallow. this happened before, just before our wedding and I ended up in Hospital on morphine (not recommended!)
Poor dd had to entertain herself while I shivered on the settee. Today I'm pouring with sweat (which is actually an improvement)
and I can swallow and breathe!!
Means I get peace to MN as well

VoodooCoconut · 05/06/2008 20:38

ooooh Macdog Ive had laryngitis where my throat closed up...went to casualty and was put on big old antibiots. Poor you

My hayfever has made an unwelcome return. Trying to just manage with beconase as dont really fancy pumping the baby up with piriton...but eyes really sore and contact lenses sticky and uncomfortable.

anyone else excited re: Big Brother launch show?? or is it just me!! it is on in 19 minutes.

gone on maternity leave now, hooray. The shit is going to hit the fan at work next week when a major complaint is being put in about thw manager and asst. manager. they are a pair of planks.

VoodooCoconut · 05/06/2008 20:47

ps. I am also decided I am having a c/section with this baby! seeing MW tomorrow.

JennsterSlugSlayer · 05/06/2008 20:53

3 days dry. No accidents at all. We've been out and about loads too.

Macdog · 06/06/2008 08:43

Not a fan of BB I must say.
between that and the footie I'm not going to be watching much tv this summer.

Throat getting better, but have really sore cough now

##WELL DONE JENNBUB## (didn't want to celebrate too early)

did you have luck with the mw today voodz, can they go with your past history and give you a c/s. they did my cousin, she had a c/s first time, v/b second and had a terrible time, not nice, so the consultant agreed she should have a c/s the thrid time. and sterilised her at the same time!! (which they normally wont do, but she played up and he did it as she had such awfull labours!)

I'm a really fed up Macdog now.
Cough went, but left behind an inability to breathe.
got emergency appt with GP and the verdict is.....

CHEST INFECTION

so got Ciprofloxacin to take on top of Penicillin.
I just KNOW it's going to lead to thrush................

worley · 06/06/2008 17:04

im still coughing, not as bad, but it has taught me that i still need to do lots more pelvic floor excersies my bladder just cant take severe coughing episodes.

dp brought a car on ebay last nov and we still havnt had the log book back, so sent off the little slip we had to dvla to get a log book sent to us, this was over a month ago, (we have no tax on it now and are stcuk without his car as we both work in completly different directions and no bus routes to our works.and cant tax without the log book/little slip) so apparently the person who sold us the car wasnt the legal owner of the car, so its all a palava. the dvla have to write to the actual legal owner for proof he has sold the car, who knows who that is as it wasnt the house we went to then!
luckily we have the proof through ebay that we brought it that way from tht address and dont know whats gonna happen now.
nothing is ever simple with us..

OMG Worley, you not having much luck at all!

Totally agre with you about the pelvic floor thing. Nearly had a mishap when reading the MN roundup today, settled for losing a lung instead of actually ROFPMSL!!!

Macdog · 06/06/2008 18:40

VoodooCoconut · 06/06/2008 19:29

WhipMeIndiana · 06/06/2008 19:41

JennsterSlugSlayer · 06/06/2008 21:04

Pelvicfloor pelvicfloor pelvicfloor pelvicfloor pelvicfloor pelvicfloor pelvicfloor pelvicfloor

Macdog · 06/06/2008 22:04

Macdog gets incontinence pants!!

Loving the new name, you trollop!!

WhipMeIndiana · 07/06/2008 19:23

loving the use of the word 'trollop'

WhipMeIndiana · 07/06/2008 19:24

also 'pissyknickers'

glorious.

WhipMeIndiana · 07/06/2008 19:27

so my favourite big brother housemates are...

  1. the somalian afro guy
  2. Darnell (Albino gangster)
  3. stephanie (blonde foxy scouser) I just like her!

and my worst ones are

  1. the dreadful tanned/muscular couple
  2. the cookie power masseuse
  3. the boring young guy from wigan
JennsterSlugSlayer · 07/06/2008 19:56

Best bb housemates

  1. Darnell (Danielle, Daniel the list goes on)
  2. Mohamed
  3. Mikey

Least favourite bb housemates

3.'Executive' Chef

  1. Masseuse (Kat?)
  2. Girl wearing Tshirt as dress with too big thighs to be on show.

MeatheaddickheadJoey - OK actually. Looks like a twat but think he has a soft nice side.

Meatheadssunbedpartner - You just know they swing don't you

Rachael - Sweet.

Scouserler - Hmm with-holding judgement. They're just compulsorary on these programmes aren't they

Can't remember any others.

WhipMeIndiana · 07/06/2008 20:00

I find the executive chef (Rex) more sexy than the supposedly sexy guy (Dale)

prefer the french sounding african girl (from sierra leone??) to Rachel, and the model from co durham too, she's got a bit of pizazz.

the scouser seems lovely and is doing maths and economics a levels (hmmm)

WhipMeIndiana · 07/06/2008 20:01

the blind guy is very brave to go into such a bizarre environment, IMO

JennsterSlugSlayer · 08/06/2008 06:31

Mikey is probably very well suited to it. He will be used to using his other senses, where the others will have to start. On the other hand it's not just visual sense that is deprived in there it's aural too. Hmm.

worley · 09/06/2008 14:18

we watched a bit of bb last night for the first time, not sure what to make of them, didnt like that girl having a go at the mikey bloke for putting on her thong, for gods sake. thought she totally blew it out of proportion.

we saw indy a couple of weeks ago, it was fantastic, not sure about how they ended it though, thought it spoilt it a bit for me. wont tell you what im on about till you see it. my ds1 is obssessed with indy now, he sings it nonstop, has a plastic snake he keeps swinging about that he got free from his "indiana jones comic" (they make comics out of anyold programme now! he wants the theme tune on his ipod, but im not sure i can put up with it that much
