we got to 1000 again....made me reminisce about our original thread all those months ago

I have had such a busyyyyyyyyyyyyyy weekend I am exhausted although we had a good night from dd and I went to bed at 9pm last night.

On Saturday I went into Woking with my sister to look at the family photos we had taken last weekend, wasn't too difficult to choose as dd was most unhappy so didn't smile much. then we wandered round the shops for ages. I got new shoes which I am very much in love with (very exciting as I hardly ever get shoes - last pair was casual ones before dd was born!), we also spent ages trying on dresses in Debenhams as I have some vouchers and need to get something nice for the 3 weddings we have this year.

Dashed home and then picked up friends to go to St Albans for a girlie gathering. went to restaurant for dinner and had many cocktails .

Got up quite late on sunday and drove home to meet dh, dd and MIL for lunch in pub. dropped dh at home (so he could sleep as dd up 2-5am sat night) and then went over to my mums with dd to help her with some computer stuff which took 3.5 hours!!!!!!!!

what is the hornimanns museum? I wish we lived near a beach, today is the perfect day for wrapping up in waterproofs and having a windy, wet walk then coming home to tea and crumpets, mmmmmmmmm

I didn't get a picture of the twins with teddies

fryalot · 14/01/2008 09:11

sounds like everyone did something - we went to town on Saturday and did some shopping then we went to Asda on Sunday and did a bit more shopping (different types of shopping) but that was it for us

We often go to the Deep in Hull, which is the world's first submarium - which I think is a posh name for a big aquarium. Tis fab and the kids love it.

Dropdeadfred · 14/01/2008 09:38

Marmite the Hornimanns museum is in SE London. It was originally a display of objects of interest from around the world, collected my Mr Hornimann a wealthy shipping magnate.

No it has a natural history section, African section, aqaurium and lots more.

We are not really near the beach, it's 57 miles away but only takes an hour..

OP posts:
fryalot · 14/01/2008 10:12

hmm... if it's 57 miles away (I don't like that number btw) and only takes an hour, that's an average speed of 60mph. I presume you live ON the motorway?

Dropdeadfred · 14/01/2008 10:52

Actually we live approx 3 miles from junc 6 of the m25...but Hastings is mostly down the A21...so guess DP must make the most of the motorway bit...

Dropdeadfred · 14/01/2008 13:49

It ill be really eird if Egg has her hands full (literally) with the twins and doesn't get to come on anymore.

Hopefully they will sleep alot though at first.

Wonder if the doula will be used for MN time?

OP posts:
fryalot · 14/01/2008 14:47

Hi Phono

I'm fine thanks! Hows the world of work today?

OP posts:
marmitemad · 15/01/2008 12:43

I have got soooooo much work and one of my colleagues I share an office with is still being an arse. Still they have built the desks in my new office now so just need to chase up on a moving date.

we had another full nights sleep from dd, just when I had decided to finish work early tomorrow so I can pop into hv clinic with her . Will probably still go as haven't seen them for ages.

Egg posted her birth announcement last night but said she had MIL there so couldn't stay long.

I love museums so will definately have to take a trip to Hornimanns in the summer.

Have to go to the dentist again later .

fryalot · 15/01/2008 13:09

phono - send that explainy email to me too

Hello my favourite ladies. I have not got time to read all your posts below but can't wait to go through them and see what you have been up to. Have missed you all.

Thank you so so much for your lovely pressies delivered to hospital. My only hospital deliveries too so brightened my room. Ben is IN LOVE with the bears, but at the moment I have managed to prise them from his grip and they are in the cot with the babies. Have not had the champers yet as we opened a full size one last night as MIL was here and I needed numbing. Was tempted to crack one open in hosp but felt a bit sad drinking alone. Might sneak one tonight. You are very kind and thoughtful.

Thank you also for cards that have arrived at home. Our house looks fab, full of flowers and cards.

Went on a quick trip to Sainsbury's this morning to make the most of the third off all nappies. Only wanted nappies and formula and spent nearly £200, then swung by the local baby shop just to buy some teeny hats as they keep covering their eyes and spent another £100 . Ooops. Don't tell DH. Still, we wont run out of nappies in a hurry. Or hats.

Caught sight of mention of Horniman Museum. My sis lives 2 mins from there, I grew up about 10 mins from there and I used to go there FREQUENTLY as a small child with school etc. We went to a wedding there a couple of years ago too, it is BEAUTIFUL, lovely gardens as well as great museum.

Righto, am heading off again as really must make the most of all three children (THREE!!!) asleep at the same time.

Will not be posting too often as DH is here and have to pretend not to have time for frivolous things like MN......

Egg · 15/01/2008 14:20

sorry I went to multiples first, it was just the order in which the threads appeared on the "threads I am on" list .................

Dropdeadfred · 15/01/2008 14:21

fryalot · 15/01/2008 14:43

egg - when you get round to it, you need to update your profile - it says you have one child, not three pics are gorgeous. Your dad is obviously a good photographer - although he had good subjects!

hi dressedup, how are you today?

Dropdeadfred · 15/01/2008 14:45
