Hmmmm..just seen it for sale online in a dress shop in Kent..£890..!!

Phono..you are a kindred spirit I can tell.
The thing is...I bought the first dress in a bit of a 'wow I've found a dress I actually like a bit' sort of mood after some really cringeworthy sessions of trying others on in shops and not loving any...

So I'm amazed to actually find a dress that I love as such cos it didn't really happen before..theres only 20 weeks to the wedding so I know it's now or never I won't have time to change my mind again and promise to stop looking!!

I can't believe I missed the great dress debate, was just too busy at work and have not had any free time since getting home as dd has been screaming non stop.

so what did you do Fred?.......

Both dresses are gorgeous and you will look fabulous but I think if you feel you will always regret not getting the second one then your heart is already decided. can you afford the potential of getting both and not being able to sell the other one?
Its a shame you can't try the second one on before committing to buying it.

my bloods are going to be 7-10 days (stupid nurse told me 2 working days) so will ring on Friday.

WELL....I asked DP...he really is DP cos he said buy it then decide which one you like best then sell the other..just like that!!

I knew I loved him for a reason...

Am very pleased as I have just finished icing the baby shower cake, now birthday cake number 1 (pic on profile although I have moved the ears down a bit after dh said it looked like a teddy bear )

fred - your dp is amazing!!!! Mine would have questioned the need for one dress and suggested I get married in my jeans to save money

its the first time I have made/decorated a cake like that so am especially pleased although I think the number 1 cakes are going to be harder to cover with icing because of the complicated shape.

re the dress, I think my dh would not have understood the need for the second dress and insisted I stick with the first one although he might have relented after a while

wow phono that was a late dinner...I remember the days where dp and i used to eat that late...why do you two?

i don't get the dress until May!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will just have to satisfy myself with pictures til then!!!!

Hello still alive and survived DS1s bday yesterday with four adults and six children in house. Going to bath DS2 now and will be back for chat later, have not read posts yet except think I spotted that FRED has a new wedding dress!?!?!? Will look later on, bet it is stunning.........

Yes indeed my DS1 is a big boy now and I [sob] can no longer claim three under two but we had a LOVELY LOVELY day and he was a real star. Will put some new pics on profile later if I have time.

Got about 6hrs sleep last night so feeling happy today! Plus it is FRIDAY, plus I am going to London on Sunday with just me and DS1 for my nephew's party and I am excited.

So Fred, what a great DP you have, and a great plan, the only way to REALLY see which dress is best is to have them both and try them both again and again, shame you have to wait til MAY though. Also, if you are losing a bit of weight, it is good as you can keep trying them to see which one looks best with your new svelte figure.

Marmite, cake is FABULOUS. I bought one for DS1, it was a Tesco triple layer choc cake and was rather yummy, but nothing as nice as yours. Even if I had time I can't cook anyway...

Grrr for having to wait so long for the bloods.

Squonk I always smile at your pic links that you find for us. I esp liked the one a few weeks back of the umbrella hat for me when walking to nursery with double buggy and baby in sling in rain .

Phono how on earth do you cope with eating and going to bed so late!?!?!? I am in bed by 9pm normally, and even before DTs it was about 10pm. AND you have to go to work!!!

Right, am neglecting DS1, and DD will wake shortly for feed so had better get on with breakfast before she does.
