Phono - I have seen your pics!!!!!!!!!!
the drum is lovely, where did it come from? and you are so slim .

fryalot · 18/01/2008 14:39

I still can't see pics

am starting to wonder if you're all just making comments about drums and slim-ness to make me feel left out.

harumph!

(was so impressed with biplane that I kept looking at the game )

Argh just want to say hello and have been missing you... family here last two days and round the clock feeding means little MN time . If I was bf I would have a hand free for one-handed typing but need both hands to bottle feed . Ah well.

Good news, both babies are now up on their birth weights, in fact DS2 is half a pound heavier! DD is only 1.5lbs heavier but she had lost quite a bit so she has still gained well in last couple of days .

DS1 being a good boy today. He has just gone to the park with DH. I only just managed to eat breakfast, now got to leap in the bath before DD wakes for next feed.

Hope everyone is ok, have not read all posts but from quick skim looks like all is well. Phono I could not see your pics either .

fryalot · 21/01/2008 09:14

morning everyone

egg - glad it all seems to be going well at Egg Towers, but sorry, obviously, that you don't get time to post on here that much. We miss you (but we are being strong and putting up with it as it is all in a good cause)

We had a same old same old weekend. Didn't do much, although got a letter from school about dd1 - I was not impressed. Doubly so as her behaviour has improved so much recently. Still got more work to do there, obviously.

On the subject of dd1, she's off school today so ds still in bed as I could take dd2 to nursery without waking him up

dd2 has now slept in her own bed six times. Last night she woke up and said that she wanted to stay where she was. She wanted me to sit with her though, but it's better for her to be in her own bed, so I did. Then half an hour later ds woke up and wanted me to sit with him.

So I got about three hours sleep

Tis raining

Egg · 21/01/2008 09:28

Squonk , I should have texted you in middle of night, I too was up for a lot of it (although at least my babies are SUPPOSED to be waking up). Having said that, I had to sit with DS1 for 5 mins and he asked me to lie down with him for a while too. I feel like I want to make a fuss of him but had to say no to the lying with him or he will want/expect me to do it all the time.

Mum has dropped DS at nursery so all is quiet at Egg Towers at the mo.

What did DD1 do at school? Or is it just generally she is not quite behaving? Am so not looking forward to teenage years, or in fact toddler years .

Will check in again later on, hoping to get into town ALONE today at some point to do some shopping and go to post office, will seem a bit odd!

Hi tired Squonk...
Hi multiplesmummy Egg!

I was a good girl and got invites ordered, but whilst looking at wedding things sawa dress i think i like better than mine

Dilemma girls! What shall i do?

OP posts:
fryalot · 21/01/2008 10:06

fred - don't worry about the dress. It might look nicer, but if you were to try it on, then it would dig in under the ribs, or the lacy bits would be itchy or it would make you look wobbly in the wrong places, you could spend a fortune getting it altered and on the day realise that you've altered it beyond all recognition and your original dress was better.

Or you could stick with the one you've got which is absolutely delicious.

Dd1 was being giddy and messing about and she squirted a syringe full of liquid at someone in the science lab.

And the teacher only wrote to me after she had told Dd1 off, given her a detention and reported her to the head of year (ie: she has done it three, four times)

Dd1 says that the liquid was only water, but she doesn't know what was in the syringe before the water, so she could have squirted diluted acid at someone's face or something.

So, tis more serious than just her messing about. We have spoken and I don't think she will do it again.

marmitemad · 21/01/2008 17:42

hello ladies,
busy weekend at day at work today.

big news here is that dd has slept all night (7:30pm-8am ish) since Friday night (3 nights now) so hopefully it was just teeth causing the trouble . she is also crawling now although not very speedily which is just fine by me.

I am also very pleased with myself as my prototype taggie blanket which I made last night in about 1 hour came out really well considering I didn't know how to switch the sewing machine on on Wed night (pic is on profile).

sorry to hear about lack of sleep at Egg towers and Squonk's dd1 at school.

Fred - have you ordered your dress already, can you go and tryit on again to remind yourself how it made you feel?

Dropdeadfred · 21/01/2008 21:46

Marmite..I HAVE my dress at home

it too late to reconsider unless I was to try and sell mine...

Anyone fancy a dress?

OP posts:
fryalot · 23/01/2008 07:32

marmite - that is a lovely blanket

fred - the dress is gorgeous. Stop it [stern look]

egg - it WILL get better

dd2 has slept ALL NIGHT in her own bed EVERY NIGHT since Thursday and last night I got 8 hours sleep which I haven't had since 1999.

Dropdeadfred · 23/01/2008 08:30

Hi all.
I re-joined ww last night. I HAVE to lose weight to fit in my dress!!!
Squonk...thanks for ticking me off. You're right I lovemy dress.

Congrats on the sleep Squonk!!!

Marmite, that blanket looks exactly like dd3's!! Well done!

Hi Phono

That's awful about your dp's bag. Is he insured for the tens machine?
Could you hire one temporarily from Boots or similar until you can buy another?

Thanks for your comments about dress . Your 2p worth has been noted.

Could he ask work if THEY are insured for something like this?

OP posts:
fryalot · 24/01/2008 10:19

they should be insured for this.

We investigated hiring a tens machine from Boots, and iirc, it seemed like quite a good deal, until we went to Lloyds Pharmacy and looked at buying one. I think that it cost the same to buy one as it did to rent one for a fortnight. So, you may want to look at that as well.

I sit here today as someone who not only has had all her children sleep all night in their own beds for one whole week but as someone who, last night, was asleep for ten, uninterrupted hours

howzat!!!!

Dropdeadfred · 24/01/2008 11:38

wow Squonk..well done Squonkettes!!!

Now is the time to go back to square one by having another

I miss Egg.I hope she's still in the lovely afterglow of birth...not up to her ears in sick and nappies...

OP posts:
fryalot · 24/01/2008 12:00

have been trying to text egg all morning, but my bloody phone won't work. Shall take it out with me in a bit and see if it works outside the house.

Twould be a miracle if she wasn't up to her ears in poo, sick and nappies, though, wouldn't it?
