Had to start a thread on this. Did anyone else spend half their time cringing and covering their eyes? And the other half laughing raucously?
Such a superb programme - can't wait until next week for the next installment.

I noticed his cheeks too. The acting is superb, I couldn't see one dud note in the whole thing. Whoever asked about UK Gold I think it's tonight at 9.30pm

Someone has just told me that Rod Stewart sings the theme tune for The Office and I didn't believe them as someone else told me that it was the Stereophonics - or was it Coldplay? Can anyone verify this for me please?!

The song's called Handbags & Gladrags, it was written by Michael D'Abo, originally recorded by Rod Stewart (on the Old Raincoat Will Never Let You Down) album and then re-recorded more recently by the Stereophonics. I'm certain it is their version used for The Office theme as it doesn't sound like Rod Stewart from the era of that album!

It was also recorded by Chris Farlow - who may have had the hit with it. Think it was just an album track for Rod - could well be wrong on this.
