I'm thouroughly with expat and all on the anti self indulgent/overanalysing stance..........NOW.
But at the time I read the Wolfe and cusk books when pregnant with DS1, I thouroughly enjoyed them. Was so glad to find something not depicting the usual fairytale earth mother.
Don't be so cynical expat. We are all at different stages on our path.
