I don't know what to make of this text

My dp sent me a text. It was 2 messages long, and a lot of the time when I get sent a message that is 2 texts long, it sometimes gets muddled with another text. This happened with this text. I got the full message but in two seperate texts and the first one was mixed with another one. It wasn't mixed with one I had seen before.

It ended saying "... much, wen she see's mine she mite not care about him anymore!" I've asked dp what that text meant and who was it for, but he hasn't replied. I've jump to a conclusion of what it could mean, but I really hope it isn't. What do you think?

the beginning is just saying he's fine and that he's still at work. it then changes in mid sentence to the other text i typed out

When he comes home tonight, Im assuing you living together, I would definately ask about it and get to the bottom of it. It might be theres an innocent explanation, but to be honest it does sounds suspicious. Good luck and hope it turns out ok, I bet you are very worried.

I jumped to the same conclusion TBH, but it does sound very laddish and jokey to a mate type thing!! Maybe just boy talk!

I am very worried I don't mean to be, but it does sound very strange. And I really can't think of anything else that it could be. I will speak to him tonight

He never keeps text messages from anyone else but me.

He just text me saying he only sent me the two messages and not the one I typed out

Poor you FS it sounds horrible, but I agree with angeliz it's probably lad stuff. Has he given you any othyer reason to feel suspicious? Cos if it's just this I would try and ask him about it carefully without sounding too accusattory iyswim.

Agree with Coddy. Definitely try and look at his phone before you even mention the subject. TBH, if it is something bad he will have deleted it and everything else that might incriminate himself. So an empty call list/received calls list could be just as damning.

No turquoise, he hasn't. I haven't said anything like I'm suspicious of what that text meant.

Kayleigh you're right that he couldn't keep anything on his phone that would get him into trouble. But he is never bothered by me looking at his mobile if he is sent a text. He's not going to answer my question, I know. And I cannot accuse him of what I think it means, as he can just say no if he's telling the truth or lying. I don't think there's anything I can do is there?

If it were me i'd just ask him outright but in a jokey manner rather than an accusing one.

Oh FS you poor thing. I've been there myself, and the trouble is once you start looking for evidence, you can make just about anyting fit. Like Kayliegh says - an empty call list can seem just as incriminating, but could equally be totally innocent. Personally, I would ask him face to face.

Before this happened did you feel secure and happy in your relationship with him? If so I'd be tempted to file it away somewhere and revisit if he does something strange in the future. It could be a network problem, a boy gag etc

Beetroot, both those examples I thought of. I automatically thought of the dick one, but then when I calmed down, I did think it could just be a work project or something. I do trust him, but when you get sent things like that it tends to freak you out a lot. Now that Mumsnet have calmed me down, I do think it's probably something just innocent or nothing to do with him at all. I know dp's not like that, so I think I was just worrying over nothing
