I went wedding dress trying on yesterday - it was fab!

The lovely spook came with me and had her own favourite out of this lot but I wont say which.

What do you all think?

OP posts:
Twiglett · 29/10/2004 22:18

I think the one that made you feel like a princess is the one to go with

(my wedding dress was nothing like I imagined or planned it to be .. the shop assistant brought it over and said try this .. I did and was swept away )

turquoise · 29/10/2004 22:21

God they're both gorgeous.
I'm no help!

linnet · 29/10/2004 22:22

They're all beautiful dresses. My favourite is Dulce Vita.

soapbox · 29/10/2004 22:23

I love Olympia - but I think Celeste is also very nice. I'm not sure what you look like so don't take this the wrong way

If you are pretty and slim I would defo go for Olympia - if plainer then Celeste.

I think Celeste will be quite a dominant dress but if you are plain then it will give you a lift and presence. If on the other hand you are a bit of a looker, then Olympia will allow YOU to shine rather than the dress!

I really hope you know what I mean 'cos reading it back this sounds a bit garbled

wallawallabingbang · 29/10/2004 22:33

Soapbox - I couldnt possibly answer that question myself

soapbox · 29/10/2004 22:35

Come on then - who has seen BR in the flesh???

Looker or spooker??????

soapbox · 29/10/2004 22:46

Hmmmmm????

Twiglett · 29/10/2004 22:49

I don't think there's anything dominant about Celeste .. I think the detail is fairly subtle

but I can see what you mean about some dresses

(I of course had a very plain dress .. even though i am a minger )

CountessDracula · 29/10/2004 22:56

Becca what's with all this wallabingy stuff?

Twiglett I am sure you are NOT a minger at all!!!

JoolsToo · 29/10/2004 23:03

olympia

treacletart · 29/10/2004 23:16

I vote Olympia

berries · 30/10/2004 21:36

Celeste - you'll have plenty of other times to look sophisticated & elegant, you can only look like a princess on your wedding day.

Merlot · 30/10/2004 21:50

They are all gorgeous! Go with your heart

helsy · 30/10/2004 22:51

Celeste - fab!

wallawallabingbang · 31/10/2004 08:46

Berries "Celeste - you'll have plenty of other times to look sophisticated & elegant, you can only look like a princess on your wedding day. " Might have just swung it for me!

wallawallabingbang · 31/10/2004 08:47

Ok, I think its Celeste then what about these for the adult bridesmaids?

wallawallabingbang · 31/10/2004 08:48

Not in Lilac though - either a cappucino colour or may change the theme and go with pale pink

Well, would you believe Im still deliberating over the this!

The wedding is now 16th July at Gretna green!

I have been looking for an alternative as we cant really afford the expensive dress anymore but I just love, love, love it. i was looking today and nothing compared so i went to a shop that did celeste and i got all hot and bothered when i saw it again. Tried it on and adored it all over again. My friend was there and agreed and has since texted me saying she keeps thinking of me in it because i was so lovely in it, awwwwwwwwwwwwwww

BUT and its a big BUT

Because the wedding is close its too late to order one (i was going to get one cheaper on the net) the woman in the shop said i could buy her (new) shop one - it is 1000 pounds though.

i have one other option - im in chats with an internet supplier who will sell it to me for 600 but delivery wont be until end of june and i will need it slightly altering

HELP MEEEEEEEEEEEEEeee

Newbarnsleygirl · 01/04/2005 19:59

Eeek thats cutting it a bit fine.

Is there anyway you could negotiate a slightly earlier delivery?

Peckarollover · 01/04/2005 20:06

Nope - that is cutting it fine as it is as that is with paying for a rush delivery

so its pay a grand and get it now or save 400 and spend months worrying!

popsycal · 01/04/2005 20:08

borrow mine

or buy a bridemaid dress like i did get dleivered more quickly too - we planned on a similar time scale to you

Peckarollover · 01/04/2005 20:09

im now hopelessly devotedly in love with CELESTE though - I got a sweat on just seeing it again

Newbarnsleygirl · 01/04/2005 20:09

Can you pay a grand?

If it's the dress it's got to be worth it.

Silly question but have you searched it on the web?

SoupDragon · 01/04/2005 20:11

Take a picture of it to a dressmaker and have it made up?
