I went wedding dress trying on yesterday - it was fab!

The lovely spook came with me and had her own favourite out of this lot but I wont say which.

What do you all think?

OFCOURSE I will you daft bag.I've already told you you'd look gorgeous in a charva suit.

alexsmum · 07/10/2004 18:48

all beautiful but my favourites are dion and olympia, so elegant and simple.
But remember no matter what you wear, all brides are beautiful! It's the glow.

zebra · 07/10/2004 19:55

Becca you'll be wearing the dress for HOURS, so why not choose, if you can't otherwise decide, on the basis of weight whichever is most comfortable & lightweight to wear, dance & sit down in.

JoolsToo · 07/10/2004 20:03

just putting in another vote for Olympia (my second)

popsycal · 07/10/2004 20:07

the first or the last

if it were for me, I would pick the last one.......but think you would suit the first better

straight to the point!

Chinchilla · 07/10/2004 20:43

Celeste for me.

Chinchilla · 07/10/2004 20:44

Not 'for me' you understand! I meant that it was my favourite.

CountessDracula · 07/10/2004 21:08

Olympia for me I think

Ailsa · 07/10/2004 22:26

Celeste without a shadow of a doubt. I usually go for plain, but Celeste is absolutley stunning.

Beccarollover · 08/10/2004 13:22

Oooooooooo I like this one too

When my fried was trying on dresses and she had one slight favourite over the other, the woman in the dress shop (the lovely Hilary, she was an angel) said to my friend 'close your eyes. Imagine you're standing at the end of the aisle you've just walked down. Your dad is beside you and your fiance has just seen you walk down the aisle. The music has just finished playing. Now open your eyes. Is this what you imagined you'd be wearing?'
My friend burst into tears and said it was just what she wanted. Both mothers burst into tears to and me (sensitive chief bridesmaid) said 'you look great' while trying to shovel blueberry cheesecake into DS.
All the dresses are lovely but I like Olympia best. You can get more sparkle from all the fantastic accessories you'll have to buy!

JoolsToo · 08/10/2004 13:50

beeautiful but still prefer olympia

SoupDragon · 08/10/2004 13:54

Don't like that one as much as Celeste, Becca

spook · 08/10/2004 14:08

carla · 08/10/2004 14:13

noddy5 · 08/10/2004 14:38

Celeste definitely it's really gorgeous

Beccarollover · 08/10/2004 14:40

The wedding is october 15th next year - I know, I know I'll be freezing in a strapless dress but I love them !!

OP posts:
tiredemma · 08/10/2004 14:42

oh no, i doubt you will even feel the weather on the day, my best friend got married in april this year and it was freezing, i felt it and so did the other bridesmaids( one little one went blue!) but afterwards when we mentioned it the bride said she didnt even feel it as she was on such a high.
good luck!

wallawallabingbang · 29/10/2004 21:45

argggh

I went back to the shop yesterday to try on Olympia and Celeste again - I took my Mum, his Mum my sister and his sister to help me decide.

They were all EXACTLY the same as me - LOVED olympia when I had it on as did I but then I put Celeste on and at first they preferred Olympia (as did I) but for some reason after I had Celeste on for a few minutes everyone changed their minds (as did I lol). I tried it on with tiara and full length veil and I must admit it looked beautiful awwwwwwwwwwwww

So....still not much further forward.

When I was about to take olympia off I looked in the mirror and thought "yes i could definitely see myself getting married in this" and then thought exactly the same about the other.

Wonder if I could get one for daytime one for evening!

acer · 29/10/2004 21:49

Definately Olympia, very sophisticated.

Skate · 29/10/2004 21:58

Olympia!

nutcracker · 29/10/2004 22:04

Olympia

Twiglett · 29/10/2004 22:17

I like the celeste best .. think the detail on the bodice is beautifully asymmetrical ..but can't see the back view (which is v. important in a wedding)

although I wouldn't carry the bag

but then again I'm personally not a big fan of ruching
