I think I know which of today's threads is the 'worrying' one.

The thing is, if you look at the language style it is very similar to that used by 'another' poster.

I don't want to deny help to anyone who needs it, but do get cross if I get concerned and worried about someone, invest time and effort in offering sympathy and advice, then discover that the whole thing develops into a p*ss-take.

One such thread a couple of months ago suddenly turned into an episode from 'Lady Chatterly's Lover', and I felt quite affronted.

suzywong · 22/09/2004 14:02

which one which one?

Bumblelion · 22/09/2004 14:15

The very first post I wrote was when I was 7 months pregnant with my third child and thinking of leaving my husband - was JacquiKD and am now Bumblelion. I had read losts of posts before and just wanted to get down in words how I was feeling - not expecting to get that much help really but it made me feel better.

End result {me and husband now split - me left with 3 children).

I hate to think that anyone thought I was a troll when I first posted - the problem I was going through was very serious and I just wanted some views of what I was feeling from people that had never met me.

nutcracker · 22/09/2004 14:16

Am I going mad or have certain threads dissapeared ???

suzywong · 22/09/2004 14:17

you are not going mad nutty

nutcracker · 22/09/2004 14:19

Oh no just found the one i was looking for, sorry.

blossomhill · 22/09/2004 14:19

Cough cough...

but BlossomHill people come here every day so it is an extension of their living room... reality etc... and despite moderator requests... it is for curiousity and research purposes that when there are territory ruffles being sighted it does not just become a job for MN, it is a tinkling of the keyboard SAHM on the lookout

Bunglie · 22/09/2004 14:24

Ahg! Please don't think my 'I hate snails' thread is a P**S take, it is not....I am serious and now have Beer ready to pour into a yogurt pot...and am VERY grateful to MNer who told me.

suzywong · 22/09/2004 14:27

I don't think you're a troll yurtgirl

My first post ever was under a name I knew I wouldn't use as my nickmname after a bit of lurking. I was going through a rough patch with baby blues and DH and I wanted to be able to be upfront and anonymous. Pretty soon after I became a regular and I think my first post as suzywong was on quite a serious issue about DS getting bitten bya friend. So there.

KateandtheGirls · 22/09/2004 14:31

Which post are you referring to? Give us a clue!

TraceyP · 22/09/2004 14:33

Yurtgirl - I don't think it's you that people are talking about. I certainly don't believe you're a troll.

nutcracker · 22/09/2004 14:34

No i wasn't reffering to you either Yurtgirl, don't think you are a troll.

I think if you are seasoned in the many ways of Mumsnet you learn particular styles of speech etc. Like if I post I know I have a habit of . . . at the end of sentences, and use hyphens alot.

Heopefully Mumsnet will tackle the problem as it is taking the mickey out of people who post here for genuine help.

Yurtgirl, I don't think you are a troll . . .

Can't help myself

soapbox · 22/09/2004 14:42

I am the only one who has been furiously searching the last day's messages over and over again
