You need to post the photos in a publicly accessible part of a website (most ISPs will give you some space for this kind of thing or you can upload them to a photo site such as photobox.co.uk who do v cheap and good developing and also allow you to store publicly accessible albums). You then create a link to the site.

charliecat · 17/09/2004 11:16

Right go to yahoo.co.uk sign up for a free email addy you never need to use it again... and once youve dont that you go to the yahoo.co.uk homepage and click on photos....there a thing there, you download it, takes 5 seconds, and then you just click on the photos you want and they are all put nicely in an album for you. You then hit the share this album and email it to anyone.....or just put the addresss bar on here if its MN you want it for. Just copy and paste the address bar. HTH...if you need help let me know!

Thing is we have our own developing printer from Epson so don't need to have any developed - just wanted to show a couple from recent holiday...

CC can that work if you have photos on CD?

charliecat · 17/09/2004 11:19

I am a complete dimwit BTW and managed to do it in under 15 mins. And now I have it It takes under 60 secs to get my photos from my camera online for all to see.

charliecat · 17/09/2004 11:21

I should think so, you would look in your harddrive for the photos and find them in drive a(where the cd is) or whatever and the yahoo tool would take them off the disk. Whereas if they were off a digital camera and you store them in a file called my photos it would take them from there IYKWIM

charliecat · 17/09/2004 11:37

Any luck you two? Bumping this up so it doesnt get lost

carla · 17/09/2004 11:48

CC I couldn't even read the code you're supposed to retype at the bottom of the Yahoo registration page! How can you retype something you can't read?

charliecat · 17/09/2004 11:53

Oh I wonder why that is...its usually just a few letters and numbers behind a grid...got your glasses on???

carla · 17/09/2004 12:11

Obviosly not, CC! Anyhow, got to the bit where you add the photos, stuck the CD in and couldn't get them up. Something like this:

Add photos

Photo 1 D:\Cd.id

Any ideas? xx

Must dash gonna be late for picking up dd from nursery!

charliecat · 17/09/2004 15:50

Are you about carla?

charliecat · 17/09/2004 15:57

I can get mine from disk to yahoo. My disk is in what we call disk drive q as we have 2...when I click on browse on the add photos one by one option, I click on :

disk drive q

It then gives me the option of 5 different things one of them being:

pictures

when i DOUBLE click on that it gives me a long list of the photos on the disk and then i can change the view of those to thumbnailsize and then i can pick and choose whatever ones I want.

Let me know if that works xx

carla · 17/09/2004 16:00
